Quality Inn Grove City - Columbus South

Our first room had a broken AC unit, which required us to switch rooms. However, the next room wasn't any better. The carpets throughout felt damp, and the air carried a weird, musty odor. The bathroom ceiling was covered in mold and had water actively dripping from the roof down onto the light fixture (documented clearly in photos). The breakfast options were incredibly limited, though passable. Worst of all, the damp environment and airborne mold gave me, my wife, and our 3-year-old daughter bad coughs and congestion.

Amazing staff from the moment we checked in. Very friendly and courteous making the whole check in smooth. Room was very clean and maintained. AC worked very well.

Exactly what we needed for the price! Got a good night sleep and clean. Nothing major but the bathtub wouldn’t fill.

Paid extra for a room on the first floor, elevator was broken so they were saving first floor rooms for handicaps. Ended up hiking 3 flights of stairs.

The roof was being replaced making it extremely loud during early morning hours and it was unadvertised this work was happening. The elevator was also broken. I the room, the ironing board was broken and the hair dryer did not work. It was not thoroughly cleaned as there was a water bottle left in the fridge and a used washcloth in the bathroom.

The property was gross. The room smelled, the ac smelled when it was on. The elevator was out of order and had to get a room downstairs. The desk clerk came very with a bottle of febreeze because he knew the room smelled. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Location Elevators were out of order, makes it hard when your room is not on the main floor and my husband has knee problems. Bed was definatly not a queen as stated.

Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Floor between the beds was wet and had what appeared to be bright red liquid on the floor. Plastic curtain had visible stains. Bench had visible stains. Do not disturb tag was falling apart. Elevator was broken. Man at the front desk called me “Pumpkin”, then made a sexist joke about how women don’t even know what VIN numbers are. Major water stains on ceiling in the lobby. Breakfast area was dirty

The front desk staff were very friendly! Greeted us everytime we came and went. My daughter was playing softball throughout the weekend and they asked how she did each time and gave her encouragement.

The room was not the cleanest. The fan in the bathroom was rusty and had dust all over it. Shower had mildew. Corners were also very dusty. The room felt damp.

Breakfast Room was not cleaned in between the 2 day stay therefore no clean towels were left.

Elevator broke

The room was well kept but I had no room service between night 2 and 3. When I first got there to check in there was nobody at the desk for about 10 mins. I had to call the desk to get someone there. The gentleman there was okay but showed no welcoming or congenial attitude. This morning before I left the trash can in the breakfast area and out front were overflowing. There was no milk for cereal and no half and half for coffee. My overall impression is this place is poorly managed and manned by lackadaisical people. I wouldn’t stay there again.

The elevator didn’t work!! Put us on the 3rd floor, which was very difficult for me to walk up. They did put us in a room on the first floor for the remainder of our stay. I picked this hotel because it had an elevator. Very disappointed it didn’t work and we weren’t notified.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel served what we needed. But you can see where repairs are needed.

Property is in great location near OSU campus. Really enjoyed the blue “club like” lights above the couch. The elevator was not working. So, had to walk to third floor and then walk all the way across the building to my room. Also, key cards did not work, two straight times after new ones. However, employee at front desk walked up to third floor on third try of cards to help me get a new room. Another negative was only received one towel in room, but that’s probably because I wasn’t initially supposed to be in this room.

Inside smelled like a musty basement. Ceiling tiles stained, carpet stained. Bathroom appeared in need of repairs, looked dirt but stained. Elevator not in service so carried 4 bags up to the 2nd floor. Our AC went out in the middle of the night, 12am, we woke up sweat soaked. I went to the front desk, I was told sorry, no open rooms, no offer to try to come look at it to fix, I had to ask if they had any fans, they did not. When I became upset and asked about receiving a refund on our room as we had barely slept due to the excessive heat in our room, I was told they could only issue a refund if we checked out and left right then (midnight) and then filed a complaint with Expedia. Both of my girls had to be up at 530am to prepare for a softball tournament, neither of them got any sleep due to the temperature inside our room. I overlooked the smell and stains at first, the main thing was I didn't find any evidence of bugs, however, no working elevators and no AC in 80 degree heat is unacceptable. I would sleep in my car before I ever stay at this hotel again.
