Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gulf Shores by IHG

Room was clean, had trouble with the air conditioning but they did have it fixed by the time we got back. Not as clean as I would expect for the price. Breakfast was pretty good. I do believe the price is way to high for what you get, it was very close to the beach which is a plus. Had trouble with the side doors not reading your key card and having to walk around and realized they kept a side door open and anyone could have gotten in. Kind of scared me a little bit.

Location is great and the parking area is very good. The room was spacious and clean, but you can definitley tell that this is an older hotel. Overall, no complaints.

I hated the whole property!! It was outdated and nasty!! The sheets were dingy. The walls were nasty. The carpets was nasty and smelly. The bathroom tub was dingy and nasty.

Every time we have stayed at this location we have been very happy with the property and staff.

The hotel was in a great location, and it was very clean. The bed was very comfortable.

The staff at check-in were very helpful answering questions about the area. The room was very clean and the location was great. Easy in and out going out the back with all the traffic.

Room was dirty and so was the bathroom. The shower head was caked with soap scum.

Room very clean. Breakfast amazing. Staff very pleasant. Bed extremely comfortable. However the ac in room was unbearably LOUD. Made sleeping difficult. Maintenance came to room 2x without resolution. No other comparable room available to move to. The elevators needed service jumping n jittery. Swimming pool needed updated.

The room, bed, and bathroom were clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Elevator did not feel safe, the brakes felt like they weren't gripping right and would shake the whole elevator car. We only used the elevator at check in and check out. Also, when the elevator doors were open, you could see straight down, the bottom looked disgusting, filled with nasty water and trash. A tile came off in the bathroom, water exiting the sink was leaking underneath, bathroom fan didn't work. TV was also strange, not a lot of control. At one point we're watching TV and it got stuck on Audio Description, narrating everything that was happening on the screen but the settings button on the remote didn't do anything. Breakfast was pretty meh. I was excited about the cool auto-pancake conveyor belt but the pancakes came out chewy and bland, eggs were cold and extra watery, bacon was more like jerky; didn't even bother with it after the 1st morning. Wasn't the worst but not the best.

Was nice wanted to take the bed home with me it was my 4th stay on vacation Nothing against the hotel but a tent that stayed there needed to stay in her own lane not in our business and made my daughter-in-law fill like she was not a good parent to my grandchild that had a sun burn and the tent call the 911 for no reason to do that and I don't appreciate that she caused us problems on our vacation so I'm not staying here no more ever the hotel should have asked her to leave the property

Only the location to the beach. Everything else bad. Room smelled like urine. Sheets were all stained. Even replacement sheets. Ended up having to pick the least stained sheets. I have pictures of everything. Staff never said sorry once. Never responded about resolutions.

The hotel and staff were fine overall. Our bathroom floor was filthy. I don't think anyone went out of their way to properly clean the floors. When shortcuts are taken in as simple as a bathroom floor, it seriously make a person where other shortcuts were taken. This does not reflect on the front desk staff, but rather on those overseeing the cleaning crew.

We had a great experience at this hotel great breakfast and helpful staff had a little clogged toliet problem but other than that it was a great stay
