Location- loved hearing the waves all night

Close to the Beach Every thing was great

The location is great. Our room overlooked the beach and was right on the walking trail. The bed was comfortable. It's a quirky place in need of repair. Our bathroom had an open/unfilled and uncovered light socket in the ceiling. The bathroom floor tiles moved when stepped on. The towels and the sheets were clean, but both had holes in them. The outdoor balcony wood had a large defect due to dryrot. The door to the balcony couldn't be locked because the salt had corroded the locking mechanism.

The hotel is across from the beach and the view was outstanding. We loved loved listening to the sound of the ocean and enjoying the cool breezes. Ann, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming. We felt more like friends than guests. We look forward to returning. We were unable to open one of the windows in the room, but otherwise everything was good.

The view from balcony The property had a horrible smell. The towels had blood stains. The check in area looked nothing like the picture it was a mess and full of clutter. I was very disappointed and when booking contacted the hotel the hotel never responded.

The oceanfront location and view were great No working elevator, we had to lug our bags up to the second floor. No formal breakfast served. Its a serve yourself cold cereal bagels etc None of the properties entry doors are secured.

Location/View Bed sheets had very apparent stains and old,I took pictures of stains, refrigerator in bathroom, bath mat has strings hanging from it looks very tacky, Balcony was nothing like the pictures. Elevator not working, no coffee pot in room, no hand soap, no hand towels, shampoo was a big bottle that has been opened and gunky around lid. Bath towels look very dingy they were clean just old. No one to greet you when you arrive, just a note telling you to go to second floor, finally found a note to text that you were there. Tv small. I expected more for the price. But you can’t beat the view, the ocean right across the street and the sound of the waves was awesome.

The ocean view and the bathroom was somewhat clean. The floor was dirty, the bedboard had stains on it, balcony had dirty pillows and dirty old chairs. The sofa in the room was grungy, the rugs were old and dirty.

The images on the listing do not really reflect the experience once you're there. The hotel is extremely cluttered with various belongings, decor, boxes, etc. However, it was very clean, quiet, and the bed was comfortable.

Wonderful view of the ocean. Right on th Half Moon Bay Coastal Trail. Seemed to be under some construction, though not a noise issue.

Our room was very close to the ocean. The sound of the waves was very relaxing. Our host Ann was super friendly and hospitable. She really made you feel welcome. This is an older property and the grounds could be kept up a little better.
