I was looking to book a room in Hamburg on the 23rd of July so I started with Expedia. I looked at what was available on that date and right before I booked it I went back and double checked the rooms. then hit confirmed. In that time span the date on the room changed and I could not cancel. I chatted with Expedia support but they were unable to contact the Hotel so I called the hotel directly and was told that everything was taken care of. When I got back home I had been charged for the room and date that was supposed to be canceled. The hotel staff refused to contact Expedia to resolve the situation so I am left with paying for a room I never occupied. We did not stay there on the 26th and 27th
