Baymont by Wyndham Harrisburg

Big rooms and nice staff.

Funny thing was we chose it because previous reviews said "enjoyed by couples" -- well this couple didn't enjoy it but it was too late to go elsewhere (11pm). Not recommended.

Great room, great outdoor pool, very kind staff,

Check in was fine, but night staff were very abrupt and not accommodative. Not easy to get back to the highway if in a large vehicle or towing.

Our room card didnt work well it took several minutes to get it to work if at all. When id take the card down they acted very inconvenienced to help as if I wasnt telling them the truth. They had to reset it over and over and would tell me it should work but it wasnt. They gave me attitude each time. Then during breakfast they stop serving at 9:30 and people were in the middle of making food but they shut the dining room lights off. Locked the fridge so you couldn't get milk for cereal or cream cheese for bagels even if you had half of what you needed. Also its in a bad part of town.

Remember, this is an older hotel but pretty much up to modern standards. Rooms clean, staff helpful. Breakfast is your basic fare; keep in mind the room is small and does get cramped at peak times. Pool outside, adequate parking, safe area. Steps in the back corner of the lot gives you an easy walk to the convenience store. Watch for the poison ivy on that side though if you're walking a pet. Oh, rooms are dead quiet. Our neighbors for a couple nights were a family going to Hershey and we heard nothing. All in all, an excellent choice, book with confidence. And visit the Sandwich Man next door.

Hair inside the bath tub. Blood stains on bedding. Tried to check out early but was given a hard time because we used a third party app to book our stay. Took hours of our time and a manager to not be charged for the entire stay initially booked. I have never had a problem checking out early at any other hotel before. Breakfast was scary. I guess you get what you pay for.

Staff was not very friendly like the reviews had said so I was surprised. Bathroom had mold around the edges of the shower and the ceiling. There were alcohol bottles on the corner of the property, poison ivy in the dog area. No trash cans outside to put pet waste. An employee was yelling at another employee in the hallway said they were going to smack them while Guest were walking back-and-forth. It was very loud and hard to sleep. And my shower didn’t drain. I went to “check out” and she said just put your key in here. No thank you no nothing. I would not stay here again.

Good hotel! Better than expected!

The overall property itself was fine, however we were given a “pet friendly” room due to my wife’s service dog which absolutely stunk of urine. We immediately asked to be moved and they accommodated us, but the next room was also “pet friendly” and did not smell much better. I completely understand limiting pets to certain rooms, but we A) have a certified service animal which is not a pet nor does it behave like one and B) carpeting in pet friendly rooms is bad practice as it retains pet odors and cannot be properly cleaned like laminate style flooring. That said, the hotel was fine, breakfast was good, and the price was reasonable.

Check in was fast, location 20 minutes from Hersheypark, clean rooms, good breakfast.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is a bit aged, but it is maintained well. We stayed in a 2 room sweet, and the main room with the king bed was quiet and large. Unfortunately, the other room was next to people who were constantly arguing and the walls were very thin, so my 14 year old daughter couldn't sleep and she even went to the extent that she slept on the floor in our room until they slept, which was around 1am. Another problem was the keys that they issued us. We constantly had to swipe 5 to 10 times to get the door to open. Our 3rd day we couldn't get it to open, so I took the keys to get them replaced and the desk attendant argued with me and told me it was my fault and problem, before she finally gave me new keys. Very disrespectful. But besides those problems, it was a decent stay for the price.

They allowed us to access the amenities after check out. Super helpful with 2 small kids on a hot summer day. Customer service could use some polishing and the carpet as well.

Staff were very friendly. Property was clean. Very good breakfast!

Staff were a little rude at front desk. Upon leaving breakfast there wasn't many options to choose from and the pool was filled with ants and bugs around
