Holiday Inn Express - Harrisburg East by IHG

This location needs some updating, cosmetic work but aside from that, it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast ~ cheese omelettes, sausage, bagels, cinnamon rolls, cereal……it was excellent!

Rooms were clean and smelled good. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good was good especially the fresh baked cinnamon rolls.

Absolutely horrible. Roof was leaking water into the room. Asked several times for a do not disturb sign so we wouldn't get woken up early in the morning for service while we were still trying to sleep. Elevator was stuck and we couldn't use it one night in order to get back to our room so we had to climb the 5 floors of the hotel using the stairs to get back to our room. Witch wasn't present after spending 2 days at a local event just. We just wanted to sleep. Nothing like walking into your hotel room to see all the floors wet and some of your clothes from a leaking roof. The hotel was falling apart peace by peace. Willing to share photos if you want them.

The breakfast was good and staff was nice. The hotel overall was in rough shape. Doors were not lined up with door frame, the bottom of the bathroom door was flaking, room smelled musty, floors of elevator were cracked and ripped.

First night sent to a dirty room, waited over 30 minutes to get checked in ! Elevator wasfithly hand sanitizer wouldn’t work or empty , bug in room , elector was slow taking a while to get to the 5 floor where we were moved ! Pool wasn’t working guy said it’s not in season ! Got charged $50 deposit fee after paying full amount he said it takes up to two weeks for return ! Sold out both nights I was there , lots of doors lifted opened so my first room door was opened had to tell the guy n he said I have been there for a while , I said no I was smoking n then brough belongings g up n now I’m here cuz there wasn’t a phone in the room ! They should post season for pool being closed one of the reasons we came here ! Excirer room had a treadmill n something small in there ! Breakfast spread was good !

The room was very clean except for the bathroom the ceiling vent didn't work the ceiling cows or corroding or falling apart there was mold around the bathtub everything else in room seemed okay. The hotel is really just worn out and needs complete 100% refresh I will not stay here again but I slept very well in the beds were comfortable.

Dirty dirty ahh .. let see ... DIRTY !! Staff vaps in hotel lobby, room was filthy, shower head was covered in black mold. Tile falling off walls and ceiling was falling in.

Location and breakfast Chairs in breakfast area and lobby very much worn and should be replaced. Many updates needed. Rooms were not available for check in until almost 5. Lots of people and luggage waiting in the lobby. The sole receptionist did his best to juggle guests trying to check in, storing luggage and dealing with a room full of people upset no rooms were available yet.

Payment: charged me twice and still I am figuring out on return of payment charged twice

Disappointing

Wasted 30 minutes trying to resolve issue before being placed in a 2 queen bed non handicap room.

Just one shared elevator.

Positives: A. Bed comfortable, clean and pillows comfy. B. A/C working really well. C. Tv, microwave and fridge in room. All working well. Breakfast: #1 Pancake mixture should be changed, made heavy and awful tasting pancakes. #2 Turkey sausage was grainy with no flavor. #3 Kills yogurts in personal containers were not good, seemed off. #4 Coffee was good and provided throughout the day. #5 Bagel, juice, pork sausage all good, appreciated the real butter for bagels. #6 Had a good amount to choose from. There are a good amount of restaurants right around the hotel to grab something to eat or get a cocktail. Would recommend, just hope they can fix the few issues I mention.

Staff was very helpful, problem was with the hotel. Door lock was broke so room was unsecured. Half of the outlets didnt work. Shower was leaking & made room smell musky. Coffee machine went down. Staff workwd to make it right.
