At check-in, I was charged a $100 fee for "incidentals" and was told I would be charged for damages. You could see under our door that the tv stand was broken, the shower rod was coming loose from the wall, and when turning on the cold water in the sink, nothing came out. I took pictures of everything, and upon checking out I informed them I had done so and what the existing damages were and had better not be charged. I DO NOT recommend this place.

The scent of the room makes you think it's dirty. Housekeeping didn't check on my room. The staff was helpful but for what I got charged I would have gone to another hotel. Bedsheets were dirty, there were clothes from a previous guest on the bathroom.

The service was not good. The staff was unhelpful, and the overall experience was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

If you're just looking for a cheap hotel in the area, this is the place. Room was clean with a faint smell of bleach. Definitely furniture thats been around for a few years. Beds were comfy and bathroom was good. Hallway was rather warm for having a few wall a/c.

what i don't like is the fact that you have to pay security deposit and parking after paying the hotel. The curtain of our room is ripped off the sunlight always come through the window and report it to the front office but they care to fix it.

    Bathroom was not clean.

You get what you pay for. Cheap for a reason.

    Nice staff and very helpful

The room was clean. The staff was friendly, but not incredibly accommodating. The hotel was in an impressive place on the river. I asked for a room facing the river. I was told they couldn't because they were "at 85% capacity". The cars in the parking lot and the number of rooms available was closer to 8.5% capacity. The building itself was at, one time presumably, gorgeous. Perhaps in the 70's...but clearly had it's best times behind it. The restaurant, bar, ballroom, etc were long since closed...perhaps decades since. It looks as such. Despite the previous glory of the hotel grounds itself, it is more on par with that of a "Super 8, Motel 6, etc". The room itself was nice. Also, it wasn't until after I booked that the hotel sent me a message with the notice of a surprise fee of $10/day for vehicle parking on their private lot...which aforementioned had plenty of empty space.

Dirty room, no housekeeping for 3 days, hookers in the parking lot, only coffee available in morning, ripped bedspread, condom in the toilet when I got there, some outlets in room didnt work, I could go on and on, 1 night max if you really need a cheap place to stay

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

I had to leave a $100 deposite that was used to enforce the no smoking policy. I hope i will get it back. At 7am nobody was able to inspect the room. I had to leave without documentation. Be aware there is a $12 parking fee in addition to the room charge.

For other travelers: Yes, the hotel is a little run-down, and there is no breakfast. (A sign at the desk suggests some nearby restaurant options.) But it is close to downtown Harrisburg (and charges a reasonable fee for overnight parking), the beds are very comfortable, and the staff is awesome. (The woman working the next morning was also extremely pleasant and polite.) I would and will stay here again.
