Good place will come back again

The property is huge and beautifully maintained. The biggest complaint, if I had one, was that the two closest ice machines in the vicinity of our room were out of order. This is a wonderful property with a gorgeous outdoor pool, and the staff went above and beyond. Highly recommend.

Clean room

The room was OK but the beds were very uncomfortable. Perhaps other rooms booked directly with the hotel offered better beds - it’s hard to say, but judging from our check in experience this hotel has some serious issue with Expedia. On our arrival the front desk attendant insisted that there was no reservation for us and that we needed to call Expedia to resolve this issue while I had papers in my hands with the confirmation of the booking. It took half an our to resolve this issue after I showed the attendant the confirmation in the Expedia App. Then finally she found it and then informed us that there were no empty rooms left in the hotel. It seemed so absurd we didn’t even react thinking what else is coming. It was at least 1 am when we arrived having had experienced a blowout on the way to this hotel. You become quite numb after one bad experience after another. We were exhausted after driving for 6 hours, having a blowout on the major PA highway and getting help from the police as our insurance told us that there was no one available at this late hour and basically we are on our own. Expedia should investigate the incident with the check in experience.

Desk clerk had trouble finding our reservation, which was already prepaid. We wound up getting double charged for the one room. Having trouble reaching accounting at the Penn Harris hotel.

All good

Nice clean rooms, Italian restaurant inside the hotel was excellent for dinner. Staff at night and manager Nick was a big help and friendly. Staff in the early morning was not so helpful. I had a broken Kuereg in my room for coffee so I went to the desk and the lady said the new Kuereg was downstairs but she didn't have time to look. She was on her mobile phone when I approached and there was nobody else at the desk. Other than that great place to stay.

This was my fourth stay at the Pen Harris over several years and it's always been well maintained and staffed by very friendly and helpful folks. The pool, bar and restaurant are excellent.

Great place

The place was clean and nice looking. No complaints there. I had 2 rooms. The hair dryer didn’t work in one and the bathroom outlet didn’t work in the other. There was a serious shortage of outlets for all the things you need to charge nowadays. Overall it was fine. No mold. No bugs. No worries about that.

Very nice property, well labeled, layed out, clean and comfortable, recently renovated and well done. Great deal for the money. Paid breakfast, we did not eat there. Super HOT and good coffee though in the restaurant.

Amazing place to stay the hotel was everything and more. The staff was great, the pillows were perfect, the pool was great, the restaurant was the best part of this hotel amazing food

The property was beautiful.. however after walking/carrying my suitcases and two small kids to the 2 floor due to no elevators ,only for my key to not work when I reached my door. After going to the front desk to inform that my key didn't work .it took about 10 -15 min and two additional trips to the front desk before the guy arrived to change batteries in door look. Other then that issue and that tiny bathroom, I have no complaints. I would definitely stay again.

The hotel is dated but clean. There is a restaurant and bar in site which is very helpful when you're traveling all day and don't want to go searching for food and drink. Overall we found our short stay to be pleasant and accommodating.

Next morning coffee station was out of cups. After guy at desk got the cups, he watched me make up two cups and the coffee and hot water came out ice cold. So I had to wait while he refilled coffee and water for tea. Very annoying When left for the day and when we returned at 530pm our room wasn’t cleaned. Guy at front desk tells me they only clean every three days. News to me - I don’t recall any notice of that. We were a 3 night stay so our room wasn’t cleaned never cleaned Restaurant staff were good but again when making reservation no one told us it was TRIVIA night at the adjacent bar. So our dinner conversation was limited to in between questions since it was overly loud for the space. Not too pleased to be blasted by trivia over a $30 bowl of pasta! Onion soup was very good but the pasta dishes were meh for the price and my spaghetti and meatballs had 1/4 inch of water in bottom of bowl. We go to the Carlisle car show every year and next year will be staying elsewhere

We stopped in without a reservation. The young man at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The property is clean, but you can tell it is older. There is a slight musty smell in the lobby that carried over to the room. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. There was very little hot water and the shower head was very dated so the water pressure was not that great. But for a quick overnight stay, it was fine.
