Red Roof Inn Harrisburg - Hershey

The staff was very helpful and handled everything well. But we got the feeling that people were living at the hotel full-time, with plenty of personal items visible around the property. Dog owners were not consistent about cleaning up after their animals, there were several obvious smells in indoor spaces, and our room wasn't on par. The toilet paper roll was broken, bed linens showed obvious wear and tear, etc. It worked for one night but I wouldn't have wanted any more.

Room was gross. Sheets and blankets dirty. Everything was sticky. Smelled really bad as well. Ended up leaving in the middle of the night it was so gross.

Don’t GO!!! This property should be condemned by the city and Expedia! Roaches, blood stains on comfortable, feces on wall, trash everywhere. Health hazards all over the place!!

The room had bugs, dirty bed covers, stains on the walls, no soap in the bathroom.

Towels were filthy had to ask for a remote for tv that only had 2channels plugs were broke appliances were not working properly whole hotel was surrounded with drugs cats and vehicles in and out all hours of night for130.00 a night this was so unacceptable but all other motels were already booked very scary situation for 2 older females renting what we thought was advertised online a average red roof inn will never stay again and will not recommend to anyone

Not great for the price but not bad either

The outside of the building was not very welcoming. Very runned down looking. Ice machine was not working, Only one pillow per each full size bed. Luckily we brought our own pillows and blankets. Blankets on bed were stained. Light over bathroom sink was not working. Making it hard to see in that area of the room. The staff I did interact with were friendly though and the rooms were clean. We were only there to sleep after attending a concert in Hershey. If we had to spend another night I would have found somewhere else to go.

It was dirty and infested with roaches. Linens were dirty. Door did not close right. was no smoke detector sink did not drain. Refrigerator door did not close. Residents drinking and doing drugs all night running through hallways dogs barking all night.

Bugs, flies & some kind of roaches. It was also VERY dirty. Couldn't lock the door from the inside. Sink light didnt work. Didn't even have a small trash can.

I didn't even go into the room, so I wouldn't know if it was clean or not. This property was crawling with people who looked like they were under the influence of drugs/alcohol. There was a boat in the parking lot that was full of cans... just looks unkempt.

Nothing Room was disgusting, bedding dirty, bugs on floor, stuff in bathtub, reaked of cigarette smoke

The property is a mess. Don’t lodge there!!!

The room was filthy it had bugs in the bathroom. The bed was a spring mattress was so worn that there was a hump in the middle. So you had to sleep on one side of the mattress. The room smelled like dog and old smoke.

Nothing Everything - facility is disgusting and would not refund my money

Wifi was horrible. I saw a Roach or 2 in the bathroom. Other than that it was pretty decent. Had some trouble with card a few times but not many other problems

I did not like how I did not have a microwave in my room and my refrigerator did not have nothing in it no shelves. I had a king size non-smoking room and my sheet had burnt holes in it. The nightstand had burnt marks on it. The toilet was stocked up. I would not recommend staying here.

Do not book, the room smelled like someone had just smoked a cigarette and the front desk staff was confused. Took them three tries to get my room key working and then the room smelled so bad I had to check out

The property was disgusting and run down. Everything looks broken or destroyed and roaches in the refrigerator.

Lots of Section 8 folks and immigrants stay here, police were there when we arrived. It was evident that the room had been smoked in, the smoke detector was missing, the toilet wonky, the door and door frame was damaged and worn but did still work, we set furniture in front of the door during the night just in case. The a/c unit was old and gross even though it worked. The fridge was in rough shape, put a soda bottle in it and in the morning it was frozen. Lots of noise in the night, even a dog barking. Missing light fixtures. The water in the tub was slow to drain. The a/c worked great. The bed was fine, checked for bedbugs, didn’t see any. It was fine for one night for husband and wife after a concert, would not recommend for a solo traveler or families.

There was no ice, no cups, no towels, no outlet for the microwave, a non-working TV with a remote that had no batteries. The beds literally broke like cardboard when sat upon. The "non-smoking" room stank of cigarettes. Apologies from the staff, but nothing else. We considered sleeping in my car, but the AC worked and it was hot and there was no room anywhere else nearby. I've slept in some dreadful places (including one place whose carpet had apparently been melted at some point during the last century). This was by far the worst.
