Great place to stay, great service the ladies always a welcoming smile

The staff was excellent- especially for breakfast. The rooms are a bit dated. And the free breakfast can be very chaotic. However, the staff was very relaxed and helpful. About 2 miles from the beach, and a mile from the 405., we stayed for a week, and it was a great value.

I wasn't aware that the hotel you're staying at charges 25.00 a day for parking because Expedia site says what you see is what you pay. Not true!!! I find it insulting to be charged for parking on their premises.

I enjoyed my first stay here but my second stay was just okay. The staff is usually very friendly and helpful but were a little less this time. Maybe because of all the little leaguers this weekend. Not related I found my bed to be quite lumpy this time around and there was no conditioner in the shower. Also the shower tub had a disgusting stain. They always put me in a front facing room and I hate it. People always hangout in front and chat and laugh well past midnight. Yes 100% you can hear it no matter what floor you’re on. I’m a soldier so I can tough it out but come on…it’s a tad disrespectful to guests especially when it gets too late …say pass 11pm. Lastly I hate having to pay for parking - just seems like a money grab to me no matter how much you stuff your fat face at breakfast. Other than that I would go back :) but I would seriously consider other places next time too.

Was never told their was a parking fee at check in or check out was a suprice on our credit card

The hotel is kind of outdated, asked the staff to fill out the body wash and they never did. Some staff were helpful, breakfast was good. Overall, an ok hotel if you’re only going to sleep there since you’ll be out all day. Looks like a popular hotel maybe because it’s affordable.

The rooms were very dirty. We had a jacuzzi tub that didn’t work in the room. Stains on the floor and sofa. Breakfast wasn’t ready at the time it should have been so we couldn’t eat before we needed to leave. To pay the same for other clean hotels in the area is disappointing.

Positives: Large and quiet room and within 10 mins of Manhattan beach.

Springhill Hawthorne/Manhattan Beach is in a great location. You are walking distance from shopping, high quailty restaurants, the beach and LAX. We were on the 6th floor with a south facing view of the hills, and also a train car yard for their light-rail. I'm going to also mention a minus because of the elevators. They were very slow for that height but for everyone. Otherthan that the place is great. Breakfast was fantastic. You could get just about anything you wanted. It was alot of people, but it was well maintained. Checkin and checkout were very good and there is a lot of parking. Overall I would go there again and would recommend it for all. Families, singles and couples will be comfortable.

The hotel was clean and convenient. You can always count on a Marriott property.

Besides that, the stay was comfortable, room was clean and secure, and the best part was that the checkout staff waived the parking fees after I explained that I was not informed of them.

To me that is at least a 9.5 out of 10.

We were disappointed. We thought a Marriott would have higher standards. The sofa bed was horribly uncomfortable and the springs were sticking through the mattress.
