Motel 6 Hazelwood, MO

Our bed was not clean there was someone’s left over chicken in the bed and crumbs all over the floor

No clean sheets or towels available at front desk. No breakfast. No pool. Beds were hard as a rock. Floors in room were filthy.

A stranger was given a key to my room and I came back to most of my belongings missing I brought this to staff attention and they kicked me out and wouldn't return my deposit

No laundry room

"Cold, damp, mold, attempted to be covered up with industrial febreeze" is what you need to be thinking when you think of this place. I asked for a refund after leaving this motel after 15 minutes and I went to Drury Airport and had a great stay with my family. Seriously, read the reviews for this motel 6. I don't know how it got past me. Actually, let me do you 1 better. Ask A.I. like I did during my 15 minute stay there. I asked it, "Should I stay at the Motel 6 Havenwood in St. Louis? It basically said no.

I was misled by Expedia. This had a decent review at the time we booked in July 2026. O brought my family of five here for an overnight stay in Missouri from a layover flight. This place was more like a prison holding cell rather than a motel. Hard, cold, unkept and service that barely looked up at you at the front desk. Mold along the caulking in the shower, aged carpets. O can’t even tell you there was a TV because the night became a blur of worrying if my family in the second room I rented were okay. Gladly we got up at 4am for our early flight the and got out of there before any riff raff woke up.

Room was clean but our room smelled like smoke and the entire hall smelled like pot.

The room and linens were clean enough, and this is a good place to stay, close to the airport. It's had a lot of wear and could use updates. The maintenance person replaced the batteries in the remote, but didn't address the fact that the phone didn't work.

Room had dog food from previous guest and bathroom had urine stain around the bottom of the toilet and also the bathtub was really unstable inside while trying to take a shower and it was very high off the ground and the pillow cases and sheets had a off white color but the smelled clean

I booked this hotel because of recent good reviews. I now think the reviews had to be fake. The air conditioner smelled musty and/or moldy. There was garbage and used washcloths in the hall which also smelled bad. The caulking around the bathtub was filthy and the tub stopper came right out of the drain pipe. There was a tip envelope for the maid who must have been on vacation because there was no trace of one for 3 days.

For the next few days my skin was killing me despite taking antihistamines and using hydrocortisone. I also had to live with the fear that I might be carrying bugs from the motel to the next location on my trip or even worse back home to my family. Ruined my entire trip. Stay away from this place. It's disgusting. I don't know how it got such a high review on Travelocity. The pictures they show are obviously old pictures from when the place was new. It's obviously an old motel that needs to renovated and have the plumbing updated, the dirty bathtub replaced and the rusted dirty doors cleaned or replaced. Just don't go there. Worst motel/hotel experience of my life.

This motel is like staying in a frat house, except your brothers are homeless and/or drug addicts. Now that I think about it, the drug addict part is actually not any different than a frat house. The room was clean, I didn’t interact with the staff but they seemed chill. The cleaning dude needs a raise, it appeared he was the only person cleaning out every single room. The parking lot is very lit up so you don’t have to worry about your new fraternity brothers stealing anything. Some nights we’re pretty loud, I just wedged the desk chair behind the door and I was fine.

Absolutely disgusting. The room smelled horrible. Hallways and lobby reeked. The room looked as if all they did was make the bed. Did not use the bathroom due to how gross it was. Couldn’t walk on the floor without shoes. It was so bad.

It smelled. It was very sketchy. The front doors needs to be fixed or replaced. People with their hands full with bags or what not shouldn't have to put stuff down to open doors. Where's the automatic doors at? Also only having 1 door unlocked was sketch. The website showed 3 restaurants around it. 1 was open but it was so dingy looking. I would have never stopped there to eat even just driving by. I was literally scared while staying there. I think i was the only woman there. I saw only men the entire time(This area was recommended from a person working at the airport) bc i had a canceled flight. It felt like a hotel for sex workers. This hotel/area should never be recommended for someone who doesn't live nor know the state. Ever!

Good place to stay on a long road trip

I’m writing this review to WARN other travelers. Do not stay here. The smell on the 1st floor is sickening. I would guess that’s where long term guests and guests with dogs stay. The elevator smells like the first floor and follows you. We had to go buy our own pillows because theirs were so stained and nasty yellow and flat as paper. Our room on the 3rd floor might have had newish wood floors but wasn’t clean. Walls had nasty brown stains and the corners were full of hair clumps. Baseboards had never been cleaned in my opinion. Found pubic hairs in the bathroom. When standing in the shower, it felt like the floor was about to fall through. There were no amenities to speak of. The pool looked as if it hadn’t been used in years. Broken concrete and tattered pool cover. Not the greatest bed. Will never come back.
