Cocoa Country Inn at Hershey

RUN.Hotel room looked nothing like the photos. The pool was not even open in late June. Dirty. scary. unsanitary. Dead Fly on the floor. zip ties and black tape fashioned as drawer pulls. mold in bathtub, mismatched tup knobs and water leaking from faucet. rusty mirror and light. unclean towels. headboard fell off wall, was off when we arrived. stains on bed skirt. handle fell off door into my hand. used bottles of shampoo and conditioner (half empty)The wood frame holding the ac in the wall was rotted, windows rusted shut. ashes on the bed, turns out it came from the ac, just weird ashy stuff blowing around the room onto the bed. could not find another room anywhere in town as there were many events that weekend and everything was booked. oh, smelled like cigarettes really bad. for a non smoking room. nothing at all was like it was pictured. the health department needs to shut it down. I am trying to get a refund, we should have just slept in our car. absolutely horrendous. I can see why the fly killed itself.

The pool was not open on June 24-25— area was not open no seating. Drain in tub very dirty. Dingy and very basic. Sir worked and close to Hershey. Price jacked up to 230 bucks regular fee for 2 double beds- 65-75. Would have been great with the poll opened. Not notified it closed prior to our arrival!

The pool was not open. Front desk was not friendly when checking in. When we entered the room the mini fridge had leftover food inside, sheets clean and so was the tub/sink/toilet but everything else had layers of dust. Owners don’t seem to take pride in keeping a well maintained property, overflowing outside trash cans, large handprints on room mirror, dressers drawer missing bottom and other had holes in it. Put sign on door for housekeeping and left room for 9 hours to visit park and no one came into the room. Had overflowing 1 trashcan in the room due to cleaning leftover trash when checking in. Went to front office asking for another trash bag, that worker was very nice and insisted that he send someone to empty out trash. Stayed for 2 nights and pool never opened, wouldn’t recommend if staying for a vacation to Hershey park.

Rooms needs to be cleaner and remodeling, would suggest shutting down to get the rooms corrected

Good for a short stay if you are on a budget. I was in town just for the night to see a concert (the motel is 3.8 miles from Hershey Park and Giant Center). Outside looks run down, but the room was clean and comfortable. No frills, just your basic amenities (tv, wi-fi, etc.). Air conditioner worked great and the room was pretty quiet. Some minor maintenance issues, but nothing big. They have a pool, but it looked like it was closed.

The staff was very friendly and very helpful and they helped us out with some key issues and they were very nice which was great The toilet ran for a little bit and they were going to fix it after we left there was a little bit of issues with some cleaning that needed to probably be done

When we first arrived, we were given only one room key and we reserved two rooms. Then when we went up to the rooms, one room wasn't even cleaned from the last stay so we were given two other rooms. And when we were leaving and were making sure we had all of our belongings, there was a dirty sock from some other person's stay under the bed that was a platform base. And the pool wasn't opened yet so we really didn't have a pleasant stay.

We actually went home, my kids did not want to stay. Price was fair considering prices at competitors but you get what you pay for. Cannot comment on comfort of beds or anything as like I stated we didn't end up staying. Very outdated

Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Not very appealing to look at. It looked run down and shabby. The rooms were quite nice though.

The pool was advertised, but not open. Missing more than half of light bulbs. Shower water pressure non-existent

I booked the room at 1030pm through app. I called the hotel to make sure they got and to make sure I had a room. The person that answered said they were closed.

They LIED in the photos there no pools and the facility did not look presentable from the outside the front did not look pleasent and workers were not on the same page when it came to me attempting to cancel the booking. They acted like they did not understand my request then deflected my request to booking.com One of the male staff asked me for my cancelation request number and said I would need it and to get it from booking.com. Once I got it I called back to give it and a female staff answered and said they didn't need it. Conflicting information

Very very nice staff. Fast replies. Reeked of weed and cigarettes. Very out dated and the bathroom was dirty. The bedding smelled and our room smelled like cigarettes.

Nothing Not a good place to stay

It was close to Hershey park It was old, out dated, smelled like cigarettes and there was black mold in the bathroom

the pillows and comforter were thin and only 1 pillow per person (3 adults 1 child) also they only gave us 2 towels. The walls are very thin and you can hear people coming and going all night long.
