Red Roof Inn Hershey

Jessica at check in was absolutely wonderful. Helpful, friendly and professional. The breakfast fare was better than I have seen at hotels chains "above" RRI. Minor issues: ice machine out of order, banisters could use a coat of paint and the doors to the rooms do not shut easily so one must pull hard causing slamming. Again all minor. Beds super comfortable bathrooms immaculate and commons areas also great. The lobby even smelled like a spa. literally 5 minutes from Hershey Park

Nothing. The room was so bad . My family refused to spend the night. The pictures were very misleading and all the furniture and room was outdated. Wayyyyy overpriced for the condition of the rooms. Mattress needs replaced as you can feel the springs give as you lay down on it. Molding in the bathroom was coming away from the wall. Didn’t see any soap in the room at all. They have you over a barrel being in Hershey and they know it. All the hotels are astronomically priced in the area. Had to keep ringing the bell and waited about ten minutes for someone to finally show up to the desk for check in. Tried to walk out of the room in the morning to find a heavy cleaning cart blocking my path. Quite literally, in front of my door. There was no rooms to the right of us, only a service entrance for staff and then a brick wall. Guess staff would rather block people I. There rooms with a heavy cart than be bothered to move it 5 feet so it wouldn’t be blocking entry and exit to a room. The price is too high! The juice is not worth the squeeze.

Check in was across the parking lot. Staff was very helpful and nice. Room was decent but the beds are very stiff. Overall a good stay for the night

Bed bugs found

The room was clean but the shower hardly worked. The faucet was falling out of the wall and would only turn on if held it back in place as you turned it. Was definitely an inconvenience to basically not have a shower.

Good location 11 minutes to park most days.

When there was a problem the staff facilitated just compensation. I was inconvenienced by the red roof inn because they neglected to check their emails telling them about my postponed check in. I was refunded however still inconvenienced. Then there was another problem that arose. I was compensated however there was still a problem after the refund was rendered.

It did serve its purpose for a quick ride to and from Hershey Park. The room smelled of smoke and the beds were not very comfortable. The hotel next door which is owned by the same people is clearly better maintained.
