Simmons Motel

The Simmons Motel is quite different than any other and in a very good way. The motel is still family owned after over 60 years and the staff are always friendly, warm and helpful. The motel is right in downtown Hershey and so close to Hershey Park you can see the roller coasters from the motel. The property consists of 3 buildings, one is the main building where the office is located, there is another building that has rooms and apartments and the 3rd building is an entire house that you can reserve. This place is not the common cookie cutter, copy and paste of every chain that you are familiar with. Each and every room has it's on character with beautiful finishings and decor of the past and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. I can say without a doubt this is my favorite place to stay in Hershey.

Cleanliness and location Maybe swap out the large dresser for a comfy chair and maybe some nicer towels.

Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean and provided all I needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I have no complaints!

The room and bath were clean. The beds were comfortable. I was in room zero with 2 double beds, a microwave and fridge. The parking was good with additional parking on 422. Check-in and check-out easy, staff pleasant. Only things to improve my stay would be a quiet air conditioner and room darkening shades. Recommend this small motel and would come back.

Great location in Hershey. Walkable to many restaurants . Towel thread bare! You could see through them so thin. Limited parking. Had to park on busy street on a Friday night. No spots left at hotel.

Superb

I booked a room at the Simmons Motel as I was attending a concert at nearby Hershey Park Stadium. I chose it primarily because it was within walking distance of the venue as well as many restaurants and shops. The facility was very nice, clean and comfortable, ideal for my one night stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially when I asked about the route to walk to the stadium. I brought my mapping app to the front desk and we previewed the walk together so I would know exactly where to go. Normal check-in was at 2:00 p.m. which was nice as I arrived early. They offered free coffee during most of the day which was also a plus. The only negative, and I understand why this happened, was that they basically practiced 'surge pricing' due to the concert. I'm seeing rooms for around $50 on the same weeknight where I paid almost $300. Again, I get it. Just seemed a little much. Overall, it was generally worth it and I would stay here again, especially at the lower rate.

Our room was clean and comfortable. Location is great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We plan on returning. Not enough parking, but there was plenty on the street close by.

Staff were lovely. Amenities were fine. Room was (mostly) clean, except... Very put off by the cockroach in the bathroom. If I'd paid 1/3 of the price I wouldn't have minded, but this was far from a cheap stay and I expect better at that price point.

Room was unsafe. Windows had no blinds and on first floor. Guests were loud all hours

The front porch area opens up to a local sidewalk. At 9 pm I was sound asleep when someone tried to get into the room via a key insisting that it was his room. Thank goodness the key didn't work for him but this really scared me.

Close to Hershey park. Nothing

No breakfast available which was fine. I wish I would have paid attn to the smoking . I would have gone to another place/ I didn’t like the smell coming into my room every night. WiFi was ok. Couldnt watch much -not interesting what was on but no fault of the company and I’m not putting my info in for other apps whether I can log out or not.

It was just a great spot, nice people all around. Fun to hear the screams from the park. Sucks that a building is going up and will steal the view. everything... you are not getting 2 or 3 sentences.

Easy Peasy no frills spot. Loved how close it was to the park and walking distance from some lovely breakfast spots. I did try to get more towels but no one was there at night to give towels, but that's ok. Lovely complimentary baked goods in the morning! Note that during the day and night until park closing you do hear scream from the rollercoasters, but you don't hear them inside rooms really.

I had a very late check in but the staff were very friendly still. My room was very clean and well stocked.

Clean Little small

Went with our family and it was a perfect for all of us! Walking distance to restaurants and Hershey is your backyard!!

Everything was great. Will definitely recommend and will be staying here during future trips
