Residence Inn By Marriott Denver Highlands Ranch

The staff was great, got us an early check in and a late check out with no problem. The room was great. Housekeeping did a great job as well both cleaning and checking daily if we needed anything.

Staff all around was friendly and welcoming. Location was perfect for our plan with family in different parts of town. Breakfast was good and typical for these types of hotels. Everything was well stocked. The hotel in the rooms and hallways are really showing age. TV was not working but I wiggled and tightened a couple of the many connections and got it working. TV was from about 2010. Shower worked but the faucet leaked and the door was not closing all the way as it was crooked. Shower seal was leaking at the bottom. On a brighter note the room was very clean.

The breakfast was nice and well stocked. Location was within walking distance of restaurants and movie theater. It also was a good location for access to other attractions in Denver area.Staff was excellent in their communication, friendliness, quick response to correct any problems when they could. The room wasn't ready by check-in time; the room had two screens with only one remote control; the ice machine was located in the freezer of the fridge and it made a loud clunking noise when it dropped the ice that was loud enough to wake us up; the fan in the bathroom area was making a loud screeching sound. Also - the design of the location of the bathroom for a sofa bed sleeper wasn't practical. I used the kitchen sink for washing my face, etc. The sofa bed wasn't made up with linens, so had to make it myself, but I should have let staff know and they probably would have been happy to do it.

Loved that it made me feel like I was home

This was an ideal spot for meeting friends from out of town. Clean, comfortable, roomy, quiet. Close to many things. The stuff was very helpful and accommodated us checking in early.

We stayed on the property for 5 nights. Our room was never cleaned unless I went to the front desk and requested it. The furniture and carpeting are rather shabby and worn.

Nice big rooms. Great location. Pool was heated and very warm.

Great staff, but the property needs improvement. Toilets didn’t flush properly and carpets throughout were dirty.

This was perfect for me with great restaurants and a gas station nearby. I got an upgrade to a wonderful room. The walls and floors were a bit thin so there was some noise. You can tell some aspects of the room are dated. But overall a classy and comfortable stay.

My rating is because I did not stay at this motel because a couple hours before our arrival I got an email, not a phone call or text, that they could not accommodate our reservation, no explanation . They made a reservation for us at a different hotel. I was very upset as I don’t get emails on my phone, so I happened to check my emails and found this out about 1/2 hour before we were to arrive. Not the way it should have been handled. Very disappointed with the sales coordinator at Residence Inn.

Pool area and main lobby were nice. Breakfast buffet was well planned and good. Backed up plumbing in our room upon our arrival. We were informed there was no other rooms to move us to. They managed to get toilet to flush at 11:00 pm that evening. Bathroom sink was repaired the next morning and unit smelled like sewer for a few hours after repair. We were offered nothing for our inconvenience which was surprising to us.
