Best Western Golden Spike Inn & Suites

Not the cleanest of places and carpets in the halls could be steamed.

Indoor pool was cold, otherwise great stay!

Having a suite was very nice because we were in town for several days. Having breakfast available was wonderful.

We enjoyed our stay there. The breakfast was good, and our room was clean. We needed to make a change to our reservation and the hotel was great at handling it quickly. I would recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was mediocre at best. the sausage & orange juice were good.

There was a strong smell whrn entering the hallway of the rooms that was over powering. Although it was in the 50s outside. I kept the window open to dissipate the smell. The next day it was cold and rainy and i had to turn on the heat which had a terrible snell. I asked for a police non emergency # and was told i had to call 911. I ended up googling the # . My keys were locked im my vehicle and I needed a piece of duct tape to fish them out. I was told maintenance couldnt help me. I explained I just needed a piece of duct tape. They said maintenance had to attended to the pool and the fitness center first Thankfully the people next door at the Hill City hardware and Krull market helped me and i was able to retrieve my keys.

Small room but it was next to the stream so that was nice. Kind of strange to have to walk through the pool and hot tub area to get to the casino , breakfast and deck. It was decent.

We hiked and biked and the indoor pool was SO nice for relaxing after beating our bodies up! Three visits and only one other couple in there once—our own personal water retreat!! A large, cool water, clean refreshing pool and STEAMY HOT spa for sore muscles! Outdoor pool was closed for season but it’s another amenity! The downtown with cute shops and restaurants is walking distance away—and a train museum which we did not visit. Breakfast area large and clean—but —repetitive in their food offerings and not the best ‘included’ breakfast we’ve had.

Overall the hotel was fine. Just didn’t like the fact that the smoke detector went off at 1:30 in the morning. It was due to a malfunction in the detector. Also when we called down to front desk nobody answered the phone so had to get dressed and find someone to help us with the detector

Hot tub was extremely hot otherwise facilities were good

The breakfast was the same thing every day. The bedsheets were very thin.

Large rooms and great breakfast

Mediocre breakfast. Wonderful shower! Best shower i've had at a hotel. Beds were fairly comfortable. Our room was larger than I expected. We would definitely stay here again. Location was perfect and it was quiet.
