Black Hills Luxury Suites

The suite was spacious and the bathroom setup, fresh towels, and toiletries were great. I saw windows being washed and rooms being readied for next guests. Also, staff members were very friendly and helpful. However, my suite had filthy carpet and was not adequately swept. Carpet edges were caked with dust. It also had soiled furniture and wrinkled/frayed curtains in one of the bedrooms. The manager or housekeeping supervisor should have a plan in which details such as baseboard edge sweeping/cleaning and carpet shampooing are addressed on a regular basis.

The place was a dump. It was very old in all ways. Old dirty carpet, linens, furniture and bedding. I question whether the sheets were clean when we arrived. Most hotels provide nice toiletries but not this place. The breakfast was not great. Would not recommend.

Overall stay good to very good. Luxury apartments need bureaus in bedrooms, breakfast was ok but not great. Outdoor pool was not open, indoor pool was terrific. Staff accommodating but no housekeeping except for towels, and supplies. Location in Hill City excellent close to attractions. Daily room rates very reasonable. Would stay again

Room was clean and roomy. Indoor pool was nice. Outside pool wasn't open when we were there. Breakfast was ok. Your normal hotel breakfast. I felt like it was worth the money.

Property is old and not well maintained, thin walls and if you are on first floor then be ready to hear disturbances even when someone walks on upper floor. Had loud exhaust fans in bathroom, very old carpet and lamps lights out. Definitely NOT A LUXURY SUITE as name suggests.

The rooms are showing their age, couches were warn but not dirty. The rooms had a bit of a smell, not terrible, but stale and old kind of smell. Pool area was great, breakfast was the same thing every day so when you are there multiple days it gets old quick…

The room had dirt caked in the corners. The entrance had steep narrow steps to go down and I tripped and sprained my ankle the very first day.

Spacious unit but uncomfortable and dated beds and furniture. Additional lighting would be helpful in kitchen and bedrooms

This room was more like an apartment that allowed our family of 5 to vacation together. We had 2 bedrooms and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Thankful that we brought our own inflatable mattress as the sleeper sofa was very uncomfortable. The air conditioning is a unit in the main living area with each bedroom having its own ceiling fan. A hot time of year may have been a challenge for cooling the bedrooms. A full kitchen allowed us to have some meals there and save money although we found dirty dishes in cabinets. We did need to make requests at the main desk at the next door building for extra towels and dish soap. The pool was also in the next door building. We would suggest you request a room in the second floor (L2) so you don’t hear people walking above you. Was very close to downtown businesses so we could walk places.

The suite was very basic but provided the space we wanted. Luxury was not found. Microwave was old and unstable. Carpet and furniture were mismatched. Sleeper sofa was old. Mattresses needed replaced. When we checked in we were told we could get to the main building for breakfast by walking through another building. The key card did not open that door and we had to walk around the outside of buildings to get to breakfast. We stayed five nights and the only variation at breakfast was alternating sausage patties to sausage links. The only fruit available were small apples. Adding some variety at breakfast would be an easy way to improve ratings.

The suite was spacious for all of us to stretch out. Both pools (inside &outside) were clean and open. Breakfast was served everyday with great options, plenty of seating for all the guests.

Nice and comfortable unit. Nice kitchen set up with everything you need. Was clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast needs improvement. Great location to all the area attractions. Would definitely stay again.

Spacious space with 2 bedrooms and kitchen. It’s clean. Hot breakfast was good. Staffs are friendly

We enjoyed our three night stay. The two bedroom condo with kitchen was perfect since we had two grandchildren with us. The pool and hot tub were really nice at the end of fun filled days. The property is dated, but quiet, clean, and well maintained. Two lights were burned out in our condo, but promptly replaced by maintenance. We found the staff to be extremely cheerful, helpful and professional. The breakfast service was regularly filled and the area kept cleaned. The gift shop was a nice & fun addition to our stay experience. Will definitely stay again!

Room was clean, very roomy. Breakfast was very good and had many good choices.

Breakfast has a variety: sausage patties/links, eggs, gravy & biscuits, browned potato bites and oatmeal or you have cereals, toast, biscuits, baked doughnut holes, 3 juices, milk, coffee, tea. A nice selection. Clean 2BR apt unit with basic dishes/serveware. Each room has its own tv and heat unit which worked well. Shower warmed quickly, but make sure to ask for a shower mat as the bottom is slick - 1 in our group slipped & fell just turning around. Both pool and hot tub were satisfying and in full operation - No Lifeguard, so watch your littles. Excersize room was disappointing. Treadmill was not operating correctly and no indication until I went to use it. I notified staff, who made maintenace aware. Grounds were clean as well as common walking area in the building. Near by grocery market and dining spots. Overall acceptable stay and would consider it again.

Great place. We will definitely be back! Perfect for families!!!

The carpet didn't looked vacuumed and no one came for mid stay service to take out the trash or change sheets as normally accustomed to. This unit didn't have same perks as other. No kitchen towels or much for cooking meals. Still a convenient location for site seeing.

Our upstairs neighbors were very, very noisy. Stomped around all night and were fighting and yelling the whole time we were there.
