Staff left room door ajar (open) all day when they came into room for microwave drop-off, hence leaving my room vulnerable to robbery the entire day when I was out of my room! Rusty shower head, sticky dirty doors, handles and light switches, as well as M&M's and crumbs left on floor. Asked for new clean glasses and never came, I had to rewash my used ones. Bug on wall. No privacy from connecting room, light coming through from under door to other strangers room, and light under entrance door on bottom and along right side of door, inhibiting privacy and allowance for bugs and no privacy. I requested a pet free room but did see guests bringing up on the same floor, hence allergies acting up in my room, probably not a pet free room prior, and the bathroom smelled like ASS. Charged my room with someone else's pool bar tab. I never charged anything to the room. Overpriced menu, under-cooked food and can't get orders correct and freezing cold in the empty restaurant. Overpriced drinks and rude waiter. Wifi kept disconnecting and knocking security VPN off too, and they are aware and say "IT HAPPENS" but apparently aren't going to fix it. Not enough parking to accommodate hotel guests, and expect you to either have them valet your car or want you to temporary park in a racquetball court next door, and expect their guests to wake early to move it from that lot to avoid it being towed by the racquetball company. There's more, but only have a limited amount to write here.

We loved everything about Sonesta!

To whom it may concern, in our visit to your wonderful resort we noticed a couple of items missing from our toiletries and we would like to bring to your attention. We stayed in room 5050 (Thursday 2 through Sat 4). Whoever tidied up the room figured it was OK to take a pair of tweezers and a cuticle trimmer. This took place on the Saturday the 4th of July. We took most of our stuff to the car afterwards. We realize this could happen anywhere and are not expecting any sort of compensation, we just want you to be aware of the situation. We had a wonderful time, otherwise...

Our family very much enjoyed our stay here. Property was very clean and well maintained. Great pools and access to a beautiful beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The adult pool and relaxation area was very nice for the adults. The short walk to the beach is great.

All of it was good we enjoyed our stay

There was often no washing clothes left in the after cleaning. Restaurant needs to stay open longer. The staff was great 👍

The Sonesta is a very beautiful property and nice hotel. It was very clean and well maintained. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because at night the air from the wall vent blew directly on my head and froze me. I had to sleep with a blanket over my head on that side. We also were told that we had a pool view, but all we could see were trees in front of the pool. It was a good stay. I probably would not stay there again because of the air vent.

Great pools, restaurants and access to the beach. Great for couples or for families.

We had a wonderful time!!! We loved being able to enjoy the adult only pool area while we were celebrating our 20 year anniversary, poolside service was amazing and the pool and hotub were perfect temperature.

We typically rent a house or stay at the Omni when we visit Hilton Head, but decided to stay at the Sonesta to try something new for an extended family vacay (19 of us). Disappointed with the customer service as I had booked 2 queen beds and they gave us a King bed for 6 days. We had booked a room a couple of months ago and the receptionist didn’t tell us this at check and we found out when we arrived at the room. I returned back to the front desk and the reason I received was that we oversold the rooms, which isn’t my problem. I asked the hotel manager to contact me in 30 mins and the staff said it would happen…. It never happen and no one contacted me for the remaining days. Definitely won’t stay again.

Great property

The location is great. The hotel is basically a motel. You can hear everything above, below and to the sides of your room. Kids running down the hall crying at 7 am. The pools were so dirty with hair. The beach access is lovely, the one pro. To top off our stay, the person who checked us out did it incorrectly and we got a call 2 hours later asking if we were extending or when we were planning on leaving? Tried calling back…super difficult.

Beautifully maintained and separate pools for kids and adults. All the extra charges for service, tourism, etc.
-
Self parking is so tight and valet parking more open in parking. I don't like paying $40 a night for things we didn't use like the bus. That should be your choice what you want.

Pool was great The food and food service was lacking.

Nice location great amenities love that they have hard wood in the rooms and multiple pools. Could update some things but overall still good
