Hilton Beachfront Resort & Spa Hilton Head Island

The only thing I did not like was that the room were not vacuum well enough.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had such a great time! The only downside was that our room was a partial ocean view and on the first floor. The bushes/ trees outside blocked most (if not all) of our view. If I would have known, I would have requested a higher floor. Other than that, the room felt and looked clean, the pool access was awesome and the short walk to the beach was even better! Two of us got massages at the spa and it was incredible! THE best massages we have ever received and well worth the money. We plan to ALWAYS stay here when we return in the future and request a higher floor for beach views!

according to Expedia we had a partial ocean view. You had to lean over the balcony to see the ocean. but we had a great view of the parking lot if that is what you like

The hotel needs a total facelift. It did not feel like a resort, everything was run down. Our room smelled like mold, there was crumbs near the feet of my bed so I don’t know if it was thoroughly vacuumed after each stay. The showers in the woman spa room needs repairs. Feels like we went back in time with the hotel vibe … not worth the money at all.

Starting with the positive, this hotel is in a great location right on the beach. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The hotel is so dated and smells bad. We had to change rooms because the smell of mildew was overwhelming. They have done a cosmetic renovation which looks nice on the surface, however the bones of the hotel are dilapidated. Chipped paint in the rooms, old furniture, bad smells. Crumbs on the floor from previous guest and I didn’t dare walk on the carpet without shoes. I’m not sure how they are still a 4 star hotel. As a Hilton Honors member, I was very disappointed.

Rooms were nice and clean. Two pools bars and restaurants on resort. I really enjoyed my stay.

The pool and beachfront property were both convenient and beautiful. However, the hotel was lacking in many areas. Our air conditioner unit was squealing so loudly we had to have maintenance come into our room at 11 PM to try and get the noise to stop on the first night of our honeymoon. Additionally, our refrigerator did not work at all. They had to move us to a different room and were kind enough to upgrade us to a suite. However, we only had a full-sized bed and requested to be moved again so we had a king sized bed. When we were moved into our third room, our toilet did not work properly. For a high class resort, the rooms were definitely lacking basic accommodations you would expect at even a 2 star hotel. Aside from those issues, the resort had a delightful coffee shop, two restaurants, a pool side bar and an amazing view from our room.

If you are on a budget, then this is the hotel for you. I found the hotel clean, but outdated. I personally don't think the hotel has been upgraded in years. We stayed at the hotel several years ago on two separate occasions when our son was 3 and 5, and when it was under Marriott management ~ so very modern at the time. Years later, for nostalgic reasons, we went back again (our son is now 18) and to my surprise it was exactly the same with no new additions. The 3x elevators were all making crazy noises and badly scratched inside alongside the walls - so clearly no touchups. When we arrived there was no one to help us with our luggage to our room (even though there were a couple of gentlemen opening/closing the door for the guests), so after check-in we took care of our own luggage. The poolside menu was exactly the same as years ago. My husband made a comment that the staff didn't seem happy. Would we go back, probably no! But like I said, if you are on a budget then this is perfect.

Great stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a very good size and well laid out. Pool was delightful with plenty of space.

Property needs significant facelift. Rooms were shabby. Only benefit of $40 a day amenity's fee was the beach towels. You have to pay extra for everything else. Will not stay there again unless rooms are upgraded to a Hilton standard.

Everything! From the front desk, to the bell man, to the staff at the restaurants and bars. They were all exceptional.

The room was nice. The extra room charges that were added that I wasn’t aware was going to be added. When I asked the lady at the front desk where those charges came from, she made absolutely no sense at all! I ended up paying over 100 dollars more than what Booking.com said my total charges were going to be, excluding parking charges of 20 dollars per day. Then I got charged for a drink at the poolside bar that I did not purchase! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, unless you like being robbed or giving your money away! Hilton Head Island is beautiful! This was our first time staying at Hilton Head. We may come back to visit sometime, but I can say with certainty that it won’t be at Hilton Spa and Resort!
