Red Roof Inn Hilton Head Island

The location was great. This motel is actually right next door to a Home to Suites and another nice property.... do yourself a favor and book over there... NOT AT THIS MOTEL Dirty, run down, the TV didn't work, thr internet didnt work, the electrical outlets didnt work. Yhr toilet was not attached to the floor the shower was rusty. the pool was closed by some public health entity.

The advertisement for this property is very deceiving. Nothing was as it seems in the online illustration. Once I got to the desk it was all surprises, terrible surprises. Based on my dissatisfaction at this hotel and all the disappointing answers that were giving to me by the receptionist I will not ever stay at this hotel again.

Floors were sandy, bedding felt moist, rooms smelled of mold/mildew. Staff never brought washcloths that were requested because none were in the room.

There were no towels, no soap in our room. When we went to ask for towels at front desk, they said they didn’t have any and were washing (9pm at night). Room seemed dirty and tub didn’t drain but filled up with water. Ceiling and shower curtain had mold. No coffee pot in room like most hotels have. When we’d walk outside of hotel room, the whole property smelled like sewer. We could not believe this hotel is located in a nice vacation spot like Hilton Head.

2nd floor ice maker never worked. Bugs in bathroom and sink. No towels, soap or toilet paper. When we asked for an extra towel, they said no they already gave 2 sets. I'm sorry I have long hair and the hand towel is a joke. On the bright side the bed was comfortable as were the pillows.

This was the 1st vacation my 16 and 17 year old daughters and I have ever taken. So I decided to surprise them with a beach trip after everything that they have gone through. The price was great for this small pocket. The location was awesome we were a short drive to the beach. 1st) Suite Reserved Unavailable I made the reservation for 2 nights in advance and was told the suite wasn't available due uncleanliness and the night desk clerk couldn't contact anyone so we were downgraded to a standard room. No refund was offered even though there was a price difference between the rooms and didn't offer to change rooms the next day. The night desk clerk didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. The manager won't be avaliable until Monday after I will have check out if I want to talk to her. 2nd) Standard Double Room Unclean We settled for the double room. I thought it was okay and clean until I saw a pair of red boxer briefs hanging from the shower rod. I was immediately grossed out. I called the front desk, but nobody answered. I sprayed everything down with Lysol.

Quiet Filthy

Didn’t stay Pool wasn’t opened and room smelled of mildew. Bathroom had black mildew stain in the ceiling.

The price Ac was plugged up and wouldn't work to keep room cool. Toliet would not flush. Bed hard as a rock. No toliet paper or towels were furnished. No maid provided at all during our stay. Mold in the bathroom. Outside of building run down. Highly disappointed. Lots of hidden fees due at check in.

Every thing, also I was overcharged.

No table, no chairs, only a bed, so wake up to all your stuff on the floor; You are charged $6.00 for a safe which is refunded if you remember to say that you did not use it. Terrible ambiance, reserved 2 days left at 5:30 am after first day.
