Clean room, friendly staff, rooms a bit on the smaller size for a double.

Manager asked for our card after we had paid a month before for our stay. He then charged our account with a $100.00 damage deposit without explaining that to us. It dropped off our account in a week. Room could have been cleaner. Tub was chipped, door did not shut correctly, very, very noisy. Next time we are in Holland, we will look elsewhere.

All in all, I was reminded of my husband's claim that all he needs in a car is a "driving appliance." This Microtel experience was a perfectly fine "sleeping appliance" and we were able to get some privacy with 2 rooms for a very reasonable total price compared with just one room at many other places along our travel route. There were a few reviews from the days before we stayed that mentioned a smell of sewage. This was NOT an issue when we arrived (there was evidence of thorough carpet cleaning, in the form of several industrial fans set up to dry hallway carpets). It seems to have been handled well. Rooms smelled musty. This improved after running the air conditioner for a little while, but did not entirely disappear. Very gross! Room not clean, wet towel hanging on door from previous tenants??? Cob webs, stains and splatters on EVERY wall, sticky remote control and light switches, and broken locks to outer doors to parking lot, so no keycard required to enter building. I would have left if another room was available elsewhere. Will not go back

Everything as described, even let me check in early because had to attend a wedding. Very complete breakfast.

Plenty of parking. Any staff we dealt with was very helpful, friendly and cordial. The room was clean and neat

Parking is easy and staff was great. Room and hotel are a little run down. Our room carpet had a run in it, walls by window had chipped drywall, tissue holder in bathroom came off the wall. Shower was fine with good water pressure and bed was comfy. Breakfast was fine

I would say this place was just average. Good for a quick 1 night stay. Breakfast options were good. Priced right.

Everything was in place, same condition as check in, then she said she had to look at sheets, There was little spot of koolade on bed sheet. Refused to return deposit due to small stain, stated they wouldn’t be able to get it out. They gave me the sheet since they were keeping my deposit. I washed it when I got home, no stain, came right out. All the nasty people, you know what gets on hotel bed sheets everyday Not sure why staff were rude and nitpicking on senior handicapped people over a small koolade stain, and refuse to return my deposit. We will never return to this hotel and never recommend them to anyone Now I have a $100 bed sheet/bed cover I would rather have my money

I don’t like the animals are allowed to stay at this hotel that’s not all pet owners. Take good care of their animals and cleanliness. Other than that great hotel.

Initially our room was on the ground floor. Room was musty smelling. Wall around tub was decaying and moldy looking. We asked for another room ground up and it was clean and fresh smelling with no issues. Staff was quick to respond to out concern.
