The Hollywood Roosevelt

The hotel lacks a proper morning buffet restaurant, which is a major downside. To make matters worse, the cafe opens far too late for early risers. Food convenience definitely needs improvement here.

Amazing pool and wonderful staff!

The beds were surprisingly really uncomfortable and the pillows were flat. No coffee maker in the rooms. Walls were incredibly thin so you heard literally everything, including the cleaning ladies and their conversations. Really wish you had “do not disturb “ signs we could put on the door so you didn’t wake up our family every morning offering room service. The pool was pretty ands our breakfast omelet and staff were nice. Definitely made for a much younger crowd. Most likely wouldn’t book again.

EVERYTHING! From the time we arrived to the moment we left the staff, food, drinks and our room were just amazing! The pool and pool service was fabulous! This made our stay to attend the Rod Stewart Concert at Hollywood Bowl unforgettable! Having to leave!

We had an enjoyable stay here. The location was perfect for what we wanted. Hotel is older so tired in places.

The Hollywood Roosevelt is not only a historic hotel with an iconic swimming pool, but it is located in the heart of the area that contains many of the landmarks that everyone envisions when thinking of Hollywood.

Antonia was amazing! Even if I had something bad to say I’d keep it to myself because of her. Every person we encountered was great.

My main frustration was when a friend brought a nice bottle of wine and we called to have some wine glasses brought to the room at 2:30 pm, called again at 4:00, and again and 6:00pm, and finally again at 7:30pm when they finally brought them but the bottle was already gone after drinking from flimsy plastic cups since the friend did not have 6 hrs to wait for our toast. Each time housekeeping/front desk/room service said they were “bringing them immediately.” Having to improvise as there were ZERO cups or glasses or plates or dishes anywhere in the suite that happens to flaunt a full bar set up is wild. We assumed they had forgotten to set them up? But calling four times and waiting 5 hours for something so simple at $800/night is just not the standard I would expect. Outlets did not work in (gorgeous) bathroom so expect to dry hair in the aformentioned bar. Pool is 10/10. Staff at pool, temp of water, availability of towels and upkeep of area are excellent. Come for the pool, maybe don’t splurge on the room :/

Awesome stay! Loved the pool and all the entertainment in the area.

The room was dirty and many of the hotel amenities were off limits to guest due to private parties. VERY disappointing.

One bright point was that the staff was impeccable. The beds are still confortable too.

We loved it-saw a classic cinema movie-had breakfast by the pool. We couldn’t enjoy the whole hotel because pool was closed when we checked-in and the lobby was closed the entire stay. Staff was great and helpful.
