We ordered breakfast and the food was delicious, although pricy. It was worth it because we had a lazy day and did not feel like running around for breakfast We would have liked to have a laundry room, like other hotels, we've experienced. However, overall, it was a enjoyable visit. We had a good time during our vacation.

My stay was cut short because housekeeping wanted to get a head start on cleaning my room. I was there for a tattoo appointment, and it was hot that day. I had planned on cooling off before my appointment, but was unable to. I told the front desk, and they apologized, but nothing was done. It also took 45 minutes of my wife waiting at the valet booth to get our car, which is no fun, especially on a hot and humid day.

My husband and I celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary and the hotel sent us a bottle of wine and a plate of fresh fruit congratulating us. That was very special and greatly appreciated. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. Loved the location also. Wonderful hotel.

I will warn any future guess that a cabana garden view means a street view through the trees. As the world is experiencing a heat wave of unknown duration, it was not a good time for the air conditioner to require maintenance. Ours did. We finally were able to relax in the room after 10:30 pm. Two days prior to our arrival, I received a message from the hotel stating that the lobby and the lobby bar would be closed to the public for private events. I thought this was a very short notice given that it turned out to be for two weddings. I’m pretty sure those wedding parties didn’t show up on Thursday. All in all the room location was not what I am used to and I will definitely need to deal directly with the hotel next time. Good luck on your travels. The Roosevelt Hotel is still an icon in Los Angeles. The location is unbeatable. The facility itself is in great shape and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Just make sure you get the right room for you.

At checkout there was a service charge for food and drinks for over $300. I denied the charges and asked for them to be removed. They said I didn’t have to pay it and I left. Later to find in my bank account that they did in fact take the money out. I went back and they said I was just on hold and it would go back on the card in two to three business days. The next day I get two failed attempts at charging my account from the hotel of $315. I then called the hotel and finally got the front desk manager Dustin, who explained that their financial team went over my information and concluded that I did use those services. So they attempted to charge me twice. Dustin said my signatures matched up. And he said that to me like I was guilty. Again, I explained I never signed anything nor did I authorize any such transactions. Dustin was not rude or short with me but he was a bit condescending and I felt like he was gaslighting me when he brought up the signatures. I feel like the hotel greatly mismanaged my personal information, leading to it being used in the space of the hotel without my knowledge. I did get the money back. Now I’m uncomfortable ever staying there again.

The room was clean and comfortable however I felt the hotel was short staffed. Service around the pool and bars was very slow and confused. There was also no notice given that some parts of the hotel would be not available/accessible on one night due to a private function.

Got a standard room when I paid for a higher priced room with a seating area. No compensation. They didn’t care about making it right. Employees at the restaurants and front desk were slow and seemed annoyed to be working. Car valets were too busy talking to each other to help anyone. Massive pool party with DJ going on so we could not even relax there. Not worth it.

We stayed in Cabana room. It was a great room, loved the private patio cabana. Unfortunately there was the constant smell of marijuana from the surrounding cabanas and we weren’t able to utilize it much. But the hotel is gorgeous, the staff was great and in the heart of Hollywood.

This place was gorgeous, accessible, and perfect for where we were trying to get to, which was TLC Chinese Theatre.

Noise on street late in the night was loud too but died down eventually, the rest of our stay was great after a plumbing issue with the toilet on check in day was resolved.

They ruined our anniversary! We stayed here when traveling to L.A. and loved it but as soon as we checked in this time, something was off. A check in process void of a welcoming atmosphere, nicks and scratches on doors and walls, an elevator system giving priority to a film crew that made you wait 15 minutes to reach your floor, lurking security people all over, a smoking area right outside of the front entrance that engulfed us as we walked in. The main enjoyment of this hotel used to be the pool. The famous paint job, crisp and pleasant surroundings, a place to relax and have a pleasant day, enjoy coffee etc. That is no longer. The pool is filthy, not swept or clean, the towels are old and clammy, the service that used to be exceptional - is now unsupervised and terrible - one of their servers told us "it wasn't her job to check on us" and that people "waive her down of they need something". To make things worse, they seem very hard up for money so they sell lots of resort passes to anyone and everyone who then proceed to bringing in guests of their own that include tons of children. Children using plastic pellot guns that shoot into the people around the pool were not asked to stop so much so that a fist fight was about to start between several guests and the unsupervising parent. Champagne is s

We were very excited to stay here. I rented a cabana suite. When we arrived at 2pm we couldn’t check in, so we went to the pool. I was told the waitlist for a chair was over 3 hrs! So unorganized and poor service. They didn’t check us in until 4pm, not 3 when they told me. The AC broke in the bedroom so they brought us a fan. Never once did they try to make it right or offer anything. I’ll never stay there again… it was supposed to be the highlight hotel of our trip and was the worst one.

Very large room with an excellent view from 1101. The Hollywood sign is visible and there was a view of Grauman's Chinese Theater just outside the window. Very historic and very much like the Disney Hollywood Tower of Terror in appearance. The down side was $75 per night parking and no coffee maker in the room!!!! If there was a coffee maker, I could not find it. Overall, a very nice and historic property, excellent check-in staff and valet staff.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Such a beautiful nostalgic place to stay and right across the street to the Chinese Theater!!

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Classic and elegant Hollywood hotel. An oasis from the madness outside. Truly a beauty.

    Loved the pool area
