Very nice and friendly staff.

Wonderful staff, would have been nice to have the pool open in the evenings.

The property was nice. Restaurant was ok. I inadvertently left a few items in the closet. I called the same day I checked out to report it and followed up several times after. My items were not found. overall experience was disappointing. I’m extremely dissatisfied. This experience unfortunately overshadowed what was otherwise a pleasant stay.

.y favorite pla e to stay in Hollywood. The rooms are nice, the staff is very friendly and the building and location cannot be beat. Love staying bythe pool. It's a greatvibe and incredibly relaxing. The lobby is inviting and very enjoyable to spend time in. Upstairs is an incredible bar with a 2 lane bowling alley. This place has everything you could want for an enjoyable stay.

A timepiece hotel with various decor and architecture inside and out offer a nice experience to stay, dine and relax by the pool. Check-in was ok, staff seemed pressed for time and short on patience. Valet/bellboy employees were notably the nicest and most customer centric of those I dealt with. Having booked a tower Queen, I expected the amenities to match the room description - there were NO bathrobe, no slippers, no toothbrush & toothpaste, no Egyptian cotton sheets only a comforter on top of the mattress, no IPOD dock, no iron/ironing board and NO safe. The lack of these amenities should have equaled a lower room rate.

The location is interesting and the hotel’s history make it attractive. In my personal scale of values it is not worth the steep price at all. For the same money there are much better options in safer areas. The room we got was small with a small bathroom and bad sound proofing. When walking over the carpet, I stepped on a residual snack chip on the floor. Other guests slamming doors was to be heard clearly as well as someone else’s water tap running. The pool is populated by loud people and inattentive staff. The maintenance is borderline with doors that don’t shut properly, windows so dirty you can’t see through, paint patches on the wall that tell stories of unskilled or uncaring labour. The reception is so dark, you can hardly see the person at the counter. I have a personal issue with valet parking and intensely dislike the system. 75 $ to occupy space and being treated like an idiot as soon as you step on the premise by someone who fancy themselves important because they wear a uniform, is just not my thing. And “it’s the policy” just does not fly for me. Overall a very disappointing experience I don’t care to repeat.

Great location. Central to Hollywood. Fabulous history. Staff were friendly. Room was not ready even though we arrived an hour after check in. Others were also complaining. Had pre paid for a drinks offer and although we pre-checked with Reception about using it the package at the bar whilst waiting for room, the bar could not clear it. So it was awkward and a bit disapointing. Also had late night cocktails but waited so long to get served as they were short staffed, we could not utilise all of the value of the drinks package. We would have liked more coktails but waited too long to be served.

Pool amazing! Restaurant choices good. Food at the restaurants, over the top excellent! Beer choices on-site at the bars not great. Air conditioning in our room, not great. Room, bed, shower and hotel wonderful. Coffee available until 10am but no espresso. Again, Gable Restaurant unbelievable!

Fantastic location in the heart of Hollywood, but it feels surprisingly peaceful inside. I loved the hotel’s history, the comfortable rooms and the great pool area. The rooms are dark, which is perfect for sleeping. The poolside cabanas are noisy—you can hear doors, footsteps and conversations. Bring earplugs if you’re staying in one.

It was a nostalgic property with a great hospitality. My room was well appointed and clean. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The pool area was stunning. I enjoyed my private Cabana room & Garden There were no USB connections in my room.
