Castle Bamboo Waikīkī Hotel

Great location. We were able to walk everywhere. Staff very nice.

Sheets were sandy and gritty

The rooms were clean and safe. The food by the pool was undesirable and the staff ignored us and talked to each other.

Our room was “clean” but the carpet was gross. The kitchen was filthy. The oven didn’t heat over 350 so we could not use it for making pizzas or other items we purchased. The front two burners didn’t work either. The curtains were broken. The beach items available were broken - the boogie board and chairs were not usable. The parking garage had 6 inches of standing water and the ceiling was so low many cars wouldn’t fit. Our rental van barely had clearance but the front desk didn’t ask before charging $40 a day for parking. One lady at the front desk was quite rude each time we saw her. Would NOT recommend.

Staff was absolutely amazing. Rooms were clean (and smelled clean) when we arrived. AC in the rooms work great - water pressure is a little weak. Don't believe Google - there's no continental breakfast, but the ABC stores are on every corner and offer a wide variety of foods.

I have stayed here before, and returned in the most part because of the little oasis around the pool. The rooms are fine, but being in the middle of Waikiki in a place that makes you feel comfortable and out of the rat race that is Waikiki is the best!

Our bed was very lumpy and was not very comfortable sleeping in. Unit needs to be refreshed.

Our room had a slightly funky smell, but we would still come back again, so it wasn't too bothersome.

The location was close to the beach and within walking distance to several restaurants. The pool was tropical and tranquil. The bathroom by the pool required a key.

Bed mattress was old ac left the room feeling damp chair padding was torn and floor needed to be moped

Staff was friendly we stayed 4 nights really could have used some room service. Clean linen empty trash.

Clean, quiet, comfortable.

The pool and bar area was so cool.

1. Unit # 903 Bedroom AC not cooling, den AC barely working & rattling continuously. Front Desk said they knew # 903 had non-serviceable ACs, needed new ACs, yet rented out to me?. WTF. Shame. Took money, gave me a sauna! 2. Rowdy # 902 resident screaming at 2 AM on both nights for 1 hr - mental case next door. Beware. Was ready to call cops on 2nd night. 3. Hotel has a tiny luggage storage room: hence checkout day morning was hell for me. 4. Dim lighting in # 903 - near total darkness.

The hotel is very cute! Everything bamboo themed was adorable. The pool is gorgeous and well kept. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are so cute!2

The food at the outdoor bar/ restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced! Hotel was a relaxing oasis.
