Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort is a beautiful hotel right on the beach. Everything is right there - several pools, beach, restaurants, and shops. The balcony view was awesome!

I will sleep on the beach before staying at this resort again.

Run down tiny rooms in the Diamondhead building. No ability to switch rooms after repeated requests. $65 credit needs to be used in 24 hr periods and doesn’t accumulate. Food options were ok but only reason to eat at their restaurants is bc of the credit. Pools had so many kids and people in them that it was just not inviting to swim. Lagoon was cool and if you have young kids then this is the place to stay. Don’t stay in diamondhead!

Stayed in rainbow tower. It has beautiful and joyful views. Easy to access facilities and beach. Very nice travel spot with family.

This place is good. No major complaints. Our check-in was fine. Our room had clogging issues. Kept calling the housekeeping and other service numbers, but couldn't get hold of anyone. Went up to the front desk and they were able to log a ticket. They only came the next day. There were not enough towels and toilet rolls in the room, which we had to request for. This place is big, and we stayed in the Tapa tower. We went in July, so it was pretty packed. There was a wait for elevators every time. The Tapa Bar and Grill has very limited chicken options if you are restricted to Chicken dishes. Luckily there is a RoundTable Pizza on the property which gives you some cheaper options otherwise the restaurants are very expensive. Al Moana center is about 15 mins walk so that's a good option for food. If you're going to this property from the airport, I'd suggest hiring Charlies Taxi. They provide flat rate compared to Uber/Lyft and other metered taxi services. The pool slides close very early so if your kids want to use that, you have to get in early. You cannot wait for the sun to go down! It would be nice if they had them open during the night so it can be used more. ABC Store is very useful. It's such a big property, they should have some more restaurants open late night so visitors can enjoy late night drinks and food, since you're on vacation.

Room had mold all in bathroom and all over the air vent cover and inside the ducts they said they were completely full so I can take my wife and child out of room for an hour so they can clean it or cancel my stay. Hotel was overcrowded you can barely breath I would recommend any other hotel besides this one

We love our stay at the Hilton village in Waikiki!! We stayed in the Niihau suite in the diamond head tower and we loved our view 😍😍 there was plenty of room for our kids to run around and a Starbucks basically right down stairs! The view from the lobby was beautiful and being able to take a 2 minute walk to the sandy beach or a 5 minute walk to the lagoon from our room is what sold us on our stay! Thank you for a wonderful time and the most friendly staff we cant wait to go back!

Everything was good, except the number of people at the resort was overwhelming and for most of the day it was like being downtown in a major city.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The rooms where not cool enough. Elevator where down had to wait over 30 minutes or more to go down or to our room.

For the first time in my life I found cockroaches in hotel rooms in USA , I really wanted to have refund on my hotel

I felt the resort was lackluster compared to some of the surrounding ones. Got basically stuck staying in the Diamond Tower which I found to be outdated and run down, definitely not what the pics show. I did ask the front desk about a room upgrade, they said they would get back and never did. As far as the shops, food and emenities be prepared to spend. The Huli Huli chicken night was a joke as it was $18 for a lousy chicken skewer. In retrospect if you are planning on really exploring, hiking, snorkling etc, I would not recommend a resort anyway. There are way better local food options around and you really just need a clean place to shower and sleep. I would definitely recommend an air b&b and rental car instead.

I loved everything about this trip. It was beautiful. I did not expect the extra charges would be so high. I spent 683.00 in taxes and fees more than I anticipated. The meals were quite expensive for me. Other than that, I had an amazing. My room was exceptional with an ocean view. I was on the 15th floor with two balconies.

Elevators were always broken had to wait long time for . The pool area was so crowded kids weren’t able to enjoy. The hotel looks a bit out dated. Not satisfied for the price we paid.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

We had to have our AC serviced twice. The shower curtain was black on the bottom. The towel hanger was loose and the towels kept falling. The shower rod was rusty. The pool staff spent more time talking to each other than watching what was going on in the pool. We had to fight for our pool chairs.

It was a beautiful location I will come back again.

This is the kind of place that you stay at when you are interested in not leaving the resort. It’s huge. It has a lot of pools, amenities and shops, but it is kind of off the beating path for when you’re staying in Waikiki.
