This hotel was surprisingly better than expected. We come to Oahu multiple times a year and this was the first time at this hotel. 5 minutes walk to the Baby Fish Pond for the kids. The hotel staff was so amazing, caring, friendly, and went above above an beyond for us. I will come back with all my relatives next time for a bigger group. Highly recommend.

Staff was friendly, rooms are nice and roomy, restaurants were good, only complaint was the bed, it was very firm and not comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay we extended 3 more days. The staff were very helpful coming back to clean our room when we forgot to take the DND sign. The utensils were not complete in the room but when we request for it. They provided. There was construction at the time that made a lot of noise but we managed. The valet needs a good system that will flow nicely. I know the staff there did their best but maybe offering self parking will eliminate the crowd of cars. Overall, we will stay there again

Such a wonderful place for families! The property, and the staff were amazing! The valet staff were a little slow and the washer/dryer took some time to connect to pay but other than that loved everything about our stay!

they were charging luxury resort rates, and the rooms were motel six at best. I checked in and checked right back out don’t do it.

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times . Every time we’ve stayed has been unique and amazing. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. We have stayed on the sunset side twice and it was beautiful. Can’t tell you enough how peaceful it was to sit out on the balcony and whine down at the day out there. This time we stayed on the ocean view side and got to watch the fireworks from our balcony. Thankful because it looked very congested in the lagoon. It was also very convenient to have a full kitchen and save a little on food. Housekeeping kept us stocked on toiletries I didn’t have to call down once. The complimentary ice cream and water per day was great. The small store in the hotel was a life saver when I needed super glue. Lastly didn’t have to walk far for coffee could go down to the lobby in pjs to Hawaiian Aroma Caffe, great coffee and service. We highly recommend staying here.

214 is what room I was in. But it says we was getting a partial ocean view. lol. Should have listed it as a pool view Outside was loud with people talking. A/C was loud. No Ice in any part of the hotel. Even tho they give a ice bucket water refill station was dirty First time at this hotel

Aside from the hurricane and power outage—which I understand were outside of their control—there were numerous issues that absolutely WERE within management’s control. We paid for a partial ocean view room and had NO ocean view whatsoever. Our room was dirty upon arrival, the sheets were stained, and getting basic necessities like clean towels was incredibly difficult despite contacting guest services and visiting the front desk multiple times. Even worse, two security guards got into a physical altercation in the lobby directly in front of my children. There was also repeatedly no manager available when I tried to address our concerns, including at checkout. We also experienced two fire evacuations, flooding, days without power, and hundreds of dollars of spoiled food. While the hotel couldn't control the weather, the communication and handling of the situation were terrible. Calling this a “Luxury” hotel is extremely misleading. Between the cleanliness, lack of basic service, misleading room description, and poor response from management, I would never stay here again.

Over all it was an average hotel. The plus was the friday night entertainment outside. They were great! But when the storm hit the ilikai never got power back on and so we had to check out and go elsewhere. Most hotels had power but they did not for days. They refunded our nights easily but it was very upsetting. They need a generator system in place. The people were very nice. The rooms were big and it was nice having a kitchen. We were evacuated in the early am hourse in our pj's which was scarey and no directions were given in the lobby but over all id rate this as an average stay. The bonus was the 2 free water bottles a day and free ice cream tickets. Ask for them !

Not enough resource when there is power outage and need to have more security measures

Having lived in Hawaii for many decades. The Ilikai was special in so many ways. Relying on a past of 60 years goes just so far. It is lovely but not luxurious. The glass elevator was a sweltering experience, much better at night.

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was spacious, with a beautiful view from the balcony. There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance, and the beach is just a short walk away. Great location overall! We couldn’t figure out how to connect to the Wi-Fi in the room. It seemed like the router wasn’t working at all, as there were no lights on it. The bathroom door lock didn’t work either, so we had to use a towel to keep the door closed. Also nightstand lamp didn't work. None of these issues were major enough for us to call a technician, but they are a few things that could be improved.

    Very good

Jr Suite with a Queen Bed & a Sofa bed, kitchen, walk in shower, balcony, location! I really didn't have an issue except you how to walk downstairs to the main desk for ice.
