Waikiki Resort Hotel

There was a power cut for some hours so no light or ac in room , restaurants & shop closed and staff not apologetic or helpful , or with list of nearby restaurants that may be open ..nor any form of lighting for room. Sorry but we’d not go back ..room 411 desperately in need of renovation. There is car hire and shop on site if you get a nice room, and breakfast was good.

It’s a good location, but this was the only redeeming quality. Everything else was a disappointment. Room smelled like mildew, there were water stains on the wall and lamp shade. There was black mold along the edges of the ceiling. The AC ran continuously on high but never hit the 70 degrees we set it to. The air was somewhat humid in the room despite the AC running continuously. There poop brown carpet in the hallways is old and dirty. It’s a very old hotel which needs a facelift badly. The pool is small but looked clean. We did not use it though. The “buffet” is a continental breakfast. Eggs, sausage, fruit, cereal, etc. not worth the $30 per person. Bottom line is this is a very old budget hotel. Not nice in any regards. But it’s location is good.

Great location, close enough to the beach, but off of the main road and it's noise. Not saying it's church quiet. Rarely long wait for elevators. Utilized the free ice and water fountain often, save some bottles. Friendly staff. Clean room. Didn't utilize pool, gym, restaurant, etc. so can't comment. Like many hotels on that side of the strip they are older than further west. But that didn't bother me a bit, stayed here before and will consider in the future. Some of the other nearby properties seemed to always have the same complaints over and over for long periods of time. But everyone's mileage may vary.

We didn't like that we have to pay for parking almost 50dls for day

Exceptional staff. Ann went over And above to answer all my questions and was immensely helpful. Partial view of ocean was beautiful and rooms were cleaner than the upscale one we stayed at before the cruise. Waikiki Resort has it all!

I had to resort to booking a night here due to Hurricane Lala effecting my stay at another hotel. Checked in and paid for packing just to find out they over booked parking spots so I couldn’t park. They had to open up what looked to be an employee area and they allowed me to park there. Next morning that parking lot was packed to the gills. Pictures are misleading as our rooms wallpaper is poorly applied. The bathroom, especially tub area is poorly maintained and you can see either rust or build up. Shower head is leaking/busted. Just lots of signs of poor maintenance. A/C struggles to get cold and runs all night. Due to being at a hotel without power for 2 days. I bit the bullet and finished my night here. If you’re on a budget and don’t care, by all means. But if you want a quality, enjoyable stay: stick to 9.0 rating or up. Didn’t realize how big of a gap an 8.4-9.0 was.

This place is very convenient for a family with a young child for location to Waikiki beach, breakfast was decent most days and it did save time and expenses, but I wouldn't call it award winning. The staff were friendly and gave us things for our kid to play with in the sand. They could pull 5 stars if the place had some cosmetic updates and were able to accommodate earlier check ins or later check outs a bit better. Overall I would stay here again

We were in the back of the hotel city view And the sliding glass door did not block one single sound. We got up a few times to check it because we thought we left the door open.

Loved it

The hotel is comfortable, the breakfast was good taste. However, the hotel feels old and needs a revamp. I would not qualify it as a resort hotel.

We had an absolute blast! Staff was professional and helpful. I'm a little upset over the amount Expedia charged me.

Was OK. Clean rooms, good breakfast, concierge on the property with a minimart available as well.
