I arrived at the hotel on September 24 at around 12:30pm after a LONG motorcycle journey. The maintenance representative approached me with a smile and a beautiful greeting and welcomed me to the property. He stated that the rooms were not ready yet, but hung out and talked with me for a little bit and made me feel very welcome and at home. His girlfriend/wife, (head of housekeeping) as well as the front desk clerk all welcomed me to the property and made me feel like family. The room was extremely clean and every part of the hotel was pristine. Breakfast the next morning by the rockstar breakfast hostess was amazing. The entire staff was inquisitive, helpful, genuinely interested and it was a place that I will definitely stay again. All 14 staff members (more like family) at that property are extraordinary and all should be recognized on a daily basis. Thank you Hood River Holiday Inn Express Team, Scott K.

Breakfast supposed to be over at 9:30, but nothing refreshed after 9:00 - which they neglected to mention beforehand. Also, requested dripping shower to be fixed, but wasn’t.

The property is ok. Not well designed like doors crashing into each other but ok. The staff was terrible. I was lied to. I got a second room because I was told the room had one queen bed and there were 3 of us. Not true. I paid a lot in error. The desk people were rude and condescending. I was supposed to have adjoining room with a child sleeping early. They were at opposite ends of the hotel!! The coffee machine did not work. I will never stay there again.

This hotel is very noisy. You can hear people walking in the hall and if they are talking it’s like you are a part of their conversation. Also the mini fridge is convenient, but ran constantly and made a rattling noise. The bed was uncomfortable and the linens, while seemingly clean, were very scratchy. The bathroom ceiling had mold. It’s priced far too high for what it is.

An ordinary, smallish hotel and not a glamorous one, but the staff made our stay outstanding. Cheerful, welcoming, accommodating to several special requests. Before our next visit to Hood River we won't need to shop the hotels: we'll stay again at this one!

I came at 1 pm and was told my room would be ready at 4 pm. I showed up a little after 4 and still had to wait 30 minutes. That is unacceptable. I signed up for a king bed and got 2 queens

Office chair was broken. Slow drain in bathroom sink. TV channel list does not match TV channels. No guide or program info on the TV. Friendly staff.

Room was comfortable, very clean. Soundproofing not so great to the hallway. Overall a good stay for the price. We’d stay here again.
