Crowne Plaza Houston Med Ctr-Galleria Area by IHG

The Crowne Plaza Houston Medical Center-Galleria Area by IHG is a great place to stay for those who plan to visit Houston attractions located in the Upper Kirby, Rice University, Medical Center, River Oaks, Montrose, and Galleria areas of town. The continental breakfast and other amenities make the stay quite enjoyable. Compared to similar hotels, the Crowne Plaza is affordable and inviting.

The hotel was fine and I'd stay again but not thru the online travel agency - no way.

I had a problem making the air conditioning work in the fitness center.

The room had an awful smell. I paid $50 for early check in, mind you their check in times was 4PM.

The AC stopped working around 6am. I woke up all sweaty. Call from desk, started working 30 minutes later and before check out time same thing. They might be doing that for people to wake up and leave early. Not cool

Great hotel

Great Location for NRG stadium and Kirby dr. AC went out at 3am. Guest rooms were warm until 10am. The property does need a refresh,

I had surgery that morning and needed my rest. There was a very loud guest staying across the hall from me (which made it difficult to rest). After the desk supervisor tried to talked to the loud guest...nothing change. So the hotel relocated me to another room and floor. This was done swiftly and with a lot help....since I was limited to what I could lift (due to surgery). My daughter and granddaughter had left me at the hotel to rest while they went out for dinner and some shopping. The staff was so accommodating to help with all their things as well. I was very grateful and impressed with swiftness. That I had to pay for an extra breakfast for my 9 yr old granddaughter. We had 2 free coupons and my granddaughter was the 3rd in the room. She hardly ate anything but I was charged 12$ plus tax.

The best super comfortable bed ever!! And a pillows. Staff was very kind and helpful and we visited soccer game, there was photo stands with Ronaldo! Amazing! Cozy room, parking. We loved absolutely everything!

Some Staff Attitude, reheated meals sold as Restaurant quality, charged for Breakfast told it would be refunded and did not occur. Did a Fire Drill no one showed up on our floor as stated there would be someone there via speakers. Construction work occurring.

staff were very thoughtful and helped us with getting around the area lobby is very nice parking garage is well lit and clean

Nice. AC was a problem at first, but the staff was able to take care of it.

Only one elevator working and the lobby was strange…hard to know what the amenities were offered bc no direction was given.
