there is nowhere in the room to sit and have breakfast.. the only table is very narrow and tall. nothing good about the room. .a single is way.too small for the price... no plugs to charge the phone next to the bed... the light switch is unreachable next to the bed... the marble shower floor is slippery and unsafe... the stool inside the shower takes unusable space... the AC vent blows on the guest's face when sleeping... the duvet cover is stiff and made out of some plastic material: it makes a crushing noise if one moves, pillows are hard and very uncomfortable, the views out the glass door are uninteresting and boring.. the hotel is planned like a motel but expensive...the excuse : it's European style... but there is nothing European about its plans, nor its interior furnishings.

What a treasure, next to the Menil Collection Museum! Hyatt runs a hotel but Tte museum actually purchased the land and built this hotel which looks more like an apartment complex. The Landscaping is absolutely beautiful. All the stuff are extremely helpful and friendly. The room was beautiful and spacious. I live in the Greater Houston area but we did decided to stay here for one night and I'm so glad we did. We will definitely be back.

The architecture is beautiful and the landscaping was lovely. The staff was so helpful and friendly. It was pet- friendly and the staff even brought my dog a bed to sleep on. I felt it was absolutely a great location. The bar snacks were good. It was very clean and well maintained. Will come back.

—given these issues over multiple days, the guest experience team offered to reimburse me for meals at the hotel but the refund did not clear and I found multiple charges to my room (some of which were not mine) —while the property is well-maintained and the team is friendly, it is clear the hotel is understaffed.

If I ever come back to Houston, I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, with a unique character that makes the experience feel special. The restaurant is outstanding—the service, music, food, and atmosphere are all exceptional. The location is perfect, and every member of the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend the pancakes—they were absolutely delicious! And the best part of all: it’s pet-friendly, which made the stay even better. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wonderful hotel in a great location. It was awesome to be able to walk to the Menil Collection. One of our favorite areas of Houston. The only thing that was odd, and a safety hazard was the shower. No door or curtain allowed water to get all over the bathroom floor making it very slippery. We had to put towels down all over the floor.

Over the past twenty years while traveling to Houston, I’ve never been able to find a favorite hotel. That is, until now. This is by far, our favorite place to stay while in Houston.

Don’t stay in 5103 - you won’t get any sleep past 5 am. The breakfast sandwich was great.

Wonderful front desk staff, great food at the restaurant, lovely location. Design of the room at nice bit too “space optimized”- just too tiny for Houston IMO. Also, I wish the whole property were in one enclosed building.
