Location to M.D. Anderson, shuttle, cleanliness, staff, extremely comfortable!

The service was great. The hotel was very clean.

You can smell exactly the old carpets in corridors . Even the water bottles in the room are not free of charge. For the rate offered you could make it complimentary. Pillows were also smelly , but clean somehow.

The suite gave us a lot of space; great for a multigenerational family group. The only problem was that although I had confirmed ahead of time the number of beds (2 beds in second bedroom) and type of bathroom (walk in shower in second bedroom) when we checked in that type of room was not available (were given a suite with a queen bed and bathtub in second bedroom). The staff was helpful in the sense that they told us that we could switch to the other type of room at our convenience on the following day. But by that point we had already settled in and figured out how to work around the layout that we had received and just stayed put.

Would like hot water provided by front dessert for morning coffee. I bring my own coffee but need hot water only.

I'm not great about leaving hotel reviews, but had to make sure I did this time because I had such a positive experience. Everything was as expected or better. The front desk staff in particular was exceptionally warm and attentive. I've stayed in a wide range of hotels in my life, and I have to say: while I was expecting a relatively "normal" and basic stay, this was one of the more positive hotel experiences I can recall ever having, anywhere.

The key system was not functioning, was checked into the room without a key, Half empty water bottles left in the room

Like the convenient kitchen paid extra for, and staff was so wonderful. Parking is a bit pricey and is full at 9pm and will have to park at Intercontinental which is a better/covered parking

Very relaxed stay, cleaned and very close and convenient to Houston Methodist Hospital.

Good services and attention

I always stay at the Double Tree for my MD Anderson appointments. It is so close. It is clean. It is quiet. The staff is courteous and helpful. They have breakfast available and a shuttle. Love the cookies they give out.
