Hotel Ylem

We have been here many times. Always excellent and close to MD Anderson Hospital.

When I requested decaf coffee, I was given regular coffee grounds and told to simply add water. These were not instant coffee granules; they needed to be brewed and filtered. This showed a lack of basic attention to cleanliness and guest service.

Hotel was good value for the price, at a great location just walking distance to the stadium and shopping and dining options close by We only got two towels for the entire stay.

It was a comfortable stay the decor was unique but cute. However the cleanliness could be a little better. I found a piece of broken glass in the restroom. The cable reception was not what I expected. Couldn’t see the game.

Will definitely stay here again.

Exceptional

I am on a keto diet and I was so impressed with the breakfast. Most hotels have just carbs . The breakfast was incredible. My kids and I loved it . I totally recommend this hotel. Clean, friendly staff and the breakfast is the best.

Staff were very friendly and helpful but the rooms could use a deep cleaning. There were several stains on the fabric headboard and the fabric bed enclosure. Even though room had dark carpet, stains were still evident. The room and bathroom were a decent size with adequate room for luggage. The free continental breakfast was average and consisted of mainly bagels, cereal, pancakes and bread. No egg nor meat available. The hotel is in an very good location with shopping, restaurants, and medical facilities with 5-10 minutes away. Overall, it was a decent stay but would have been much better if they shampoo or replace the areas mentioned above.

clean hotel, very nice I enjoyed my stay!

Hotel charged my credit card twice. I called the front office and said they only see one. Charge on their end. I explained to him that my own credit card company sent me an email to see if the Hotel had charged me twice which they had. So I had to open a dispute charge with Capitol One which they did end up returning the money. Just beware of Hotel Ylem charges.

Location Room 203 the body wash dispenser did not work.

The bar on the ground floor and how clean everything was

I like the price. The breakfast was not good at all. The bar was interesting. But dead. They need to add happy house. Karaoke or a live band on the weekend.

Excelente ubicación y muy bonito diseño interior

Hotel is super cute. A true hidden gem. Check in staff was super nice and room was clean and tidy.

The property itself has been updated nicely but the floor in our room was very dirty. There was a huge wad of hair and some other sort of hair laying between the beds. In a place that should’ve been easily vacuumed. The next day I asked for the floors to be vacuumed well. That evening when we got back to our room the large wad of hair was still there and when we moved a blanket on our bed and there was a fake eyelash ON the bed. Later that night another fake eyelash was stuck on a pair of my slippers that had been at the room. I had just put them on and realized there was something in them. I was really disappointed that the floor was so dirty - even after asking them to make sure they were vacuumed and even showing them the picture.
