Phenomenal location and value!
-
Great deal for a downtown stay! Lobby area has a unique yet modern bar vibe. The room is great just very small. Served its purpose well as a one-night downtown experience.
-
The hotel was over booked so my family had to stay in separate rooms. The hotel was able to accommodate us without additional charge.

Perfect location downtown to access the metro line for NRG stadium (World Cup). Felt safe as a solo traveler. Walkable to many food options and entertainment. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Very clean property and comfortable room. The welcome drink is a fun touch. caution: it is extremely loud Friday/Saturday evening (Thursday and Sunday were quiet). I believe there is an adjoined nightclub and just party vibes in the area. The bass is thumping until 2am. If you are there on the weekend for peace and quiet this might not be your property. If you’re there for a fun time, I recommend this property.

Great location , comfortable stay

Stayed here with my teenage daughter, and we had mixed feelings. The good: hotel is clean, rooms are well-kept, and the bathroom is spacious with great shower - a huge plus for me. The Moxy vibe is fun and modern, and the room size was fine for the two of us. The downsides: Hotel is right across from a light rail stop. Convenient if you use it, but brings foot traffic 24/7. Parking lot across the street isn’t overnight, so you’ll need to hunt for a garage if you have a car. The entrance sits in the main entertainment district and was a bit grimy - we noticed a urine smell outside. Overall: Great for solo travelers or friends. Not ideal for families with a car. Would stay again without my daughter, but the parking situation makes it inconvenient.

Great location! The check-in and bar staff were amazing! Great vibes and friendly, welcoming people. Highly recommend for out of towners.

La ubicación muy congestionada

They should warn guests about the loud partying. We got no sleep. The staff didn't tell me how to get the offsite parking even though I asked twice! We ended up over paying for parking.

If you want to see an Astros, Rockets or Dynamo/Dash game. There’s a Metrorail Station right next to the property. You can either walk a few blocks or take a short Public Transit ride. The minus was there were Homeless people, at the end of the block. You possibly can hear the Metrorail from outside. You have to wait a minute or two for the hot water since the building is over 100 years old. Overall, I would stay here again. The location is too good to pass up! It’s a nice Hotel chain as well!

Property has an amazing aesthetic, great location for walking to nearby restaurants, parks and night life. Parking was not clearly defined with an unexpected charge. The rooms were fine except for one of the most uncomfortable night stays I’ve had in a while. Internet was very spotty so watching anything on tv was a no.

The stairs from the lobby to the downstairs could use some contrast and more light. Very hard for low vision person to navigate.
-
Awful experience. The double queen bed was booked so I paid for a king room for my sister and I. When we arrived we were told it wasn’t available and they I shouldn’t have booked with Expedia. After approx 9 mins of the worker “finding” a room it was a queen bed in an handicap room. My sister and I were squished in a small bed. Extremely rude staff, bathroom was not clean, pictures are not truthful. It’s definitely not the vibe as described, no one goes in there. I wish I wouldn’t have booked here. -100/10.
-
The room was smaller than I expected, but I just needed a bed and a shower. The blanket was scratchy and itchy. It was a servicable room.
-
Property is very fun in the heart of everything downtown. Only complaint was the shower wasn’t clean and the hot water wasn’t real hot

Fun and great energy
-
I really enjoyed my time at the Moxy. Centrally located downtown, next to many bars and night venues, and you walk out to the public transit. Very friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and mechanical bull to enjoy during the party. Just enjoy your stay and have fun!
-
very loud hotel with bars close by - hard to sleep
