Best Western Plus Huntersville Inn & Suites Near Lake Norman

The breakfast buffet is awful. The eggs are powdered eggs and the variety of foods was subpar. (There is a Waffle House within walking distance so I went there the next morning.) I put the sign on my room doorknob for the room to be cleaned and nobody cleaned it. After I mentioned it to the front desk, it was cleaned the next day. All in all, my stay was good. Beds are comfy. A/C worked great. Convenient refrigerator and microwave in the room as well came in very handy. Hotel grounds are very clean as well. I didn't go to the pool so I can't comment on it.

The room was not very clean. Stains on the sheets as well as hair. The a/c unit was not on so there was a lot of humidity and the carpet/bedding was damp to the touch. Not satisfied even for a night of just sleeping. The room smell was very unpleasant!

The door to the room we were given was damaged and we were constantly getting locked out of our room. We requested a new room but were told that they were sold out. We were really displeased with the customer service we received.

I was traveling with 2 handicap people. One was in a wheelchair. The handicap room was not as accessible for my sister in the wheelchair. She couldn’t shower because of the tub. There was no roll in shower. When I called to verify the room had a roll in shower they said it did. You could not close the door to the bathroom with the wheelchair. I had to put her on the toilet and close up the wheelchair and move it so I could close the door. The staff was nice the rooms were clean but the handicap accessible was our only issue.

I was very irritated with the staff at this establishment. At check in and over the phone prior to arrival i confirmed that the security deposit for my stay would be $100 TOTAL. The day after checking in i was charged an additional $200 without my knowledge and was told that the system automatically charges $100 per night which is not what was discussed. This is absolutely unacceptable and i would NEVER give my money to this place again.

The location was very convenient and staff were friendly I did have a roach in my room so for cleanliness I dropped the ranking down lower but overall it was great. I would just recommend spraying for insects

The room was clean. I appreciated the AC worked very well. Downside I couldn't reach front desk from the room by dialing 0

Good breakfast in morning but was cramped because of size of location. Had to change rooms after noticing carpet was completely soaked by bed from air conditioning from our room or from room above us,this was after being in room for about 3 hours

The night we got there Friday the 17th I had paid for a two bedroom queen. They did not have any two bedroom queens left and stated the AC units were broken. I asked for my money back so I could go somewhere else and they said they could not give me my money back because the mgr was not there. So I said where are we supposed to sleep then...They found on king suite with a pull out couch the room smelled very bad and the toilet ran all night. The next day we was moved to a two bed queen this room smelled bad as well but we sprayed but then the toilet clogged and the room got worse. We tried to call the front desk several times no answer I go up front and the desk clerk said the phones don't work. So I tell her about the toilet and she told me I had to fix the toilet and that was not her or housekeepings job. I'm like that is your job. I will never in life go back to this place ever again this was the worst experience I ever had. From a very upset customer

We were very pleased with our stay. The bed was so comfortable. Great location.

Everywhere you went to the hotel. It smelled like weed people coming in at two or 3 o’clock in the morning, screaming and yelling in the hallways waking everybody up no security definitely would never stay there again.

For the price it was spectacular

Bathroom fan was loud and sounded like it was going to fly out of the ceiling. At 2:30 am the fire alarm went off and they did not get it turned off until 8:30 am. They did not give any information or anything as to what was going on. The breakfast was ok the only issue was the biscuits were on the warming area and would become hard and crunchy. Should have been placed in a steam pan to keep moisture. The front desk lady bullied us into booking with them instead of online from what I see she would avoid paying franchise fees for booking on the bestwestern website. So she said if we did not we would have to pay a large deposit which was not communicated on any website or any 3rd party site under deposits or other fees. Then when I was paying her for the room she said she would price match and she was charging more than the website and when I questioned her. She got an attitude said I was asking too many questions that tomorrow we can pay online and pay the 100 deposit. Even after not being able to have a safe quiet place to sleep we were not even given any compensation for the inconvenience. We will not be returning to this location and actually considering not renting from any best western in the future.

The next morning upon checkout I asked for a partial refund of $80 on a 3 night stay. The front desk clerk was very nice and agreed this would be a reasonable request but the manager would have to approve when he arrived. A couple days later I received a $20 credit for a night of no sleep. Not very fair and this hotel manager does not know how to keep his clientele happy. Will not stay here again...sorry...

Nice and clean place to stay, I highly recommend this place.

I would appreciate if they had more breakfast out for the people that decides to eat at 9am, the area wasn't clean didn't have any food. We had to go to waffle house to enjoy some breakfast
