This was a great stay! Location is amazing.
-
Being close to the beach is the best thing about this property.
-
Great location! You can see the sunset on the beach from the balcony, but definitely bring your own beach towels. I will stay again!

Rooms are so outdated and stuffy rooms

Not fancy but very convenient. Location is very good. Rooms were decorated super cute they were clean and comfortable. The deck was nice to sit on to look at the ocean.

The Surf Inn is an excellent budget friendly resort that puts you close to the Main Street pier within walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops. The beach is literally right across the street from the hotel. I highly recommended it to anyone wanting to vacation in Huntington Beach.

If you REALLY need a place across the street from the beach that won't cost you your firstborn, this place is ok. It's funky surf/skate vibe has appeal. The 2nd floor patio is nice at night. Other than that, the rooms are run down, carpet around window AC unit was wet (and stained all over) holes in wall from towel bar falling out, hinge on door still broken so you have to finagle the door to close it, no coffee maker (can walk 1 block to get coffee). It served it's purpose for our needs for 1 night, but wouldn't want to stay longer unless I was a young person who just wants to surf and doesn't care about much else.

Cute property that doesn’t break the bank. Would definitely be our new HB hotel when we visit.

Perfect location for AWOW, easy check in, comfortable bed. Will definitely come back

Ben at the front desk was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The room was clean and tidy. I love the “boutique” style hotel they have going on. 90 grit sandpaper on the crack made me chafe, and idk if it was the sewer or what leaking through the drains but the bathroom smelled bad like poop.

Right across from the beach and shops and restaurants are walking distance from the room.

No elevator

This place is absolutely terrible! I initially had booked through Expedia then realized it wasnt going to work for me so tried to cancel immediately by calling, then by reaching out to Expedia. I spoke with 2 different supervisors at Expedia who also tried calling the Inn to assist with the reservation cancellation. Both were unsuccessful in reaching anyone, just as I was. Emails were also never answered. I would advise anyone thinking about staying here to consider other options, unless they don’t mind having money tied up for 7+ weeks

Amazing view and location to the beach and main street. Staff is nice. The room is very low quality. If your expectations are just a locking room, a raised platform to lay down and weak water pressure to rinse off. This is a great stay otherwise the room will leave you wanting more. Very dimly lit. They also had 2 lamps in the room and one didn't work. The light against the wall above the poster didn't work. The wall paper is peeling off the wall in places. The toilet took 20 minutes of running to fill up and stop. The bed had some support nailed together and placed under neath but only supported one side the other side didn't touch. Beds were stiff. Parking underneath the building in-between big pillars can be difficult.

The only reason to stay here is the relative affordability but still being close to the beach and Main Street. My room was clean, but the faucet in the bathroom didn’t work except for the hot water. There are no amenities.

Really great walkable location to downtown Huntington Beach that is much cheaper than other options. Really liked the feel of the hotel and the free parking is great. Rooms are all unique and being able to sit outside on the deck and watch the ocean and the PCH was awesome. Only complaint is that the blinds to our room were broken and would not go all the way down. Would definitely stay here again.

I do not recommend staying here. We were coming for a one night stay and driving in from the inland empire which as you know the 91 is ridiculous with traffic so we were getting there a hour and a half after checking which is at 3 by the way and we thought cool at least our room will be ready. We go to check in and they go on to tell us our room is not ready and would be 45 minutes!!!! We had a birthday thing to get to so then telling us sorry we had a busy weekend and nothing else and to say it so non carelessly as it’s not really that big of a deal is what blew my mind. Then we get into our room and the ac unit is extremely loud with all buttons basically wiped off so you have no clue what you’re doing. After we got back in the evening I proceed to get into the bed and the bed collapses! We had to lift the mattress up to find out the bed deal is being held up with a piece of wood! We could not sleep well after that on top of the ac being extremely loud which needed to be turned off since we couldn’t sleep and then for it to now be hot. The bathroom has no ventilation so it’s extremely hot as well as the shower doors not functioning on one side at all. This was not a good stay what so ever and then when telling them about the bed at check out, again no care what so ever she goes to say oh sorry, that’s it, nothing else. Like a bed collapsing is every day business. I highly recommend staying elsewhere especially because one night was not cheap for what you have to deal with.

Awesome place to stay near the beach

The staff was very nice and the inn is small and intimate. You are definitely paying for the location. Some things are a little outdated and the shower head kinda sucked but honestly, I would return again for the location and outside amenities alone. I love the area.

It wasn’t as clean as I would typically prefer, but overall was well kept. Very friendly staff and excellent location. A very short walk to the beach.
