Clarion Pointe Huntsville Research Park

Exceptional

Cleanliness, room size

Poor

Clean rooms, friendly service, and a good continental breakfast. Can't beat the price!!

Good value but a bit run down

Superb

No really polite staff, breakfast was disappointing, not eggs not yogurt not fruit, location was helpful and easy to get around.

The property is dated but the room was clean (with the exception of a food wrapper with crumbs in it sitting behind the TV that housekeeping missed). When we walked into our room, a maintenance guy was in it fixing the AC and replacing a light bulb. It surprised both of us but he quickly finished his work and left. The bed was very comfortable. Also, the AC was the quietest that I have ever experienced in a hotel room! The breakfast selection was good and well replenished. All-in-all, a good value.

Disappointing

Superb

Had. Good Breakfast

Not sure why this hotel was rated so high. It was more of a 6.1. As we got to our room, the owner of the property was one door over smoking though the establishment clearly posted a sign saying “No Smoking”. I guess that was for everyone else but him. So not only were we offended by the think smell of smoke once we entered our room, there was also a think stench of mold. Smoke and mold. It was gross. But the smell did match the decor and cleanliness (or lack of). The furniture was badly damaged, the carpet was sticky dirty, the ottoman was so dirty it should have been tossed out. And the grossest…blood/ketchup splatters 3 places in the room, entry door and 2 on the bathroom door. I thought I found a great deal. You really do get what you pay for. The bed, pool, and the front desk lady was the only thing going for this hotel. Would not stay again. Pay 20 bucks more and stay elsewhere.

The front staff was very helpful, but the room was a horrifying mess. It smelled like mildew, and someone had pulled up the fiberglass out of the tub mold everywhere. Within the bathroom soap scum on the walls, water stains on the fixtures in the bathroom carpet. Look like it hadn't been cleaned in years. And I left and did not want to stay got my money back. But now I have a sinus infection from being in that room, just for the little bit that I was there after answering the phone from the front staff, making sure we found our room. The surrounding areas looked very sketchy, and it appeared that there were people that were staying there, long-term.\nThe room was disgusting and we didn't want to stay.I was afraid of touching anything in that room
