Comfort Inn Independence - Cleveland

Room was clean upon arrival. Breakfast was good. Pool was not used but looked very clean. Several local restaurants are walkable and so are multiple bus lines to downtown.

TV in room didn't have cable or satellite. We could only receive local channels, and they were fuzzy. The internet was also down when I checked out, so I couldn't receive a detailed bill. Otherwise, hotel was excellent. Friendly staff, beautiful pool area, and great location.

Generic TV remote control did not work. Rooms need updating. Difficulty with card insert and door opening. Had to pull door handle in one direction? Breakfast was very good; however, the hostess maintaining the breakfast was extremely rude and was upset when we stayed in the breakfast area talking 10 minutes after breakfast hours. Bathroom fan extremely loud, room had a damp feeling/smell. Shower attached shampoo dispenser was empty. Also thought we got the best rate through Expedia but overhead people asking about room rates was quoted $30 per night less than the rate we had to prepay a month in advance of our stay. Don’t see a reason to use Expedia in the future.

Rooms and common areas were very clean. I didn't have a chance to use the pool, but it looked to be in good condition. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful beyond what is expected during a stay.

The front desk was very friendly and efficient and the room was fresh and clean feeling, loved that!!

Ok hotel very dated similar to a red roof surprised it was a comfort inn actually. I wouldn’t stay here again and that’s just my opinion.

Overall the hotel was fine. Safe neighbor hood. Looked a little aged but perfectly fine. Good budget friendly hotel. Had a nice ol outdoor pool. . .

The staff at the Comfort Inn were wonderful. The rooms need maintenance. My ceiling in the bathroom was crumbling. The outdoor pool was fantastic.

The location and rate were good for our purposes, but they were having trouble with the wifi which was important for us to have. We plugged our phones into the lamp bases to charge, not realizing that when you turn the lights out for the night, the outlets on the lamp don't work and our phones didn't charge. We've never experienced this before. Our bathroom fan was pretty loud, and it would be nice to have a mini-fridge in the room. The woman who cooked breakfast was wonderfully helpful!

Everything was really clean even the towels smelled fresh. The breakfast was really good with good variety. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had no issues and enjoyed our stay!

Room was clean and stocked with towels etc for all of us. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with hot foods and cold. Parking was good.

Our room looked like rock stars had a party in there. Main door had a chunk missing, it was twisted & didn’t latch well. Bathroom door frame was pulled away & barely latched. Primary light was out. Overall just looks worn, elevator, lobby, etc.

The property in general needs sprucing up. It works benefit from some paint. There was rust on the bathroom molding A damp cleaning rag was left on the bedside table. The tub had standing water And the shower curtain was overall damp. Long black hairs in the bathroom. It appeared the maid left in a hurry? Drawers were still open from being wiped down? To the credit of the hotel they immediately changed the shower curtain and took care of the tub issue. It just made me feel like the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. There were no curtains to fully close at the window. They were decorative mostly. We used a pants hanger to close them as much as we could. The bed was clean. Breakfast was hot with Multiple selections. They kept it well stocked. It was definitely an economy hotel in a higher priced area.

Room was clean. The Breakfast was just ok. Stayed 2 nights and was hoping they would change up the hot offerings but it was the same eggs and sausage. Nice location if you plan on visiting Cuyago Valley National Park. Overall, it was a solid 3 stars, nothing to write home about but clean, comfortable room.

Outdated had an odd smell in the hallway

WiFi was spotty and they knew it…but put us in a room they also knew would not be able to connect.

For starters, the poor desk personnel were more than a bit angry with everyone checking in. Our first room (223) had a foul smell of body odor and dankness, the carpet was filthy and the Wi-fi was inaccessible. After a few hours we asked to change to a different room (126). The room smelled fine, but the carpet was utterly filthy (black mold?) and the Wi-fi still did not work - at all. Wi-fi was only accessible from the lobby. Rather inconvenient don't you think? Never again.
