Ramada by Wyndham Cleveland Independence

This the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! 1. Upon checking in, they couldn’t find my reservation. 2. Upon checking in, I was told that I will not have a key to get in my room because their key card system had been out for about a week. Instead, whenever I needed to get in my room, I would have to go to the front desk and they would send someone to unlock my room with a key. Because of this, sometimes there was a small waiting period to get in my room. 3. When I finally got to my room, there was a broken door handle, unpainted walls, greasy floor that was slippery to walk on as if there was built up grease, broken vent cover on the a/c, chipped paint on the walls, missing iron, missing tv remote, unpainted portions of the bathroom door, rusted tissue box, etc. 4. After using the community bathroom on the 1st floor, I went to wash my hands and there was no running water. 5. The hallway floors and walls were extremely dirty and had a nasty stench. 6. When attempting to speak with the manager, I was initially met with a very nasty attitude. As I began to ask him about the door key issue and how inconvenient it is and unsafe it was, and if anything would be done to rectify the situation for our inconvenience, his literal responses were, “Well, yocan leave!” and “I am not doing anything special for any of my guests! Cause If I do it for one, I have to do it for everyone”.

Nothing room was way too much for the quality and condition of the property Kids were everywhere, it wasn’t the cleanest place

When we arrived, there was garbage in the lobby. Jazmine was there and was super helpful super friendly considering the circumstances she was there all night and tried to do the best with what she was given. There were no room keys so we had to be taken to our rooms every single time or find somebody to unlock it. It seems they’re also understaffed I woke up in the morning and Jasmine was there again. She never sleeps. They really should just give her a room and they definitely need to give her a raise. on the fourth floor where we stayed where it was perfect enough for my husband and I to do overnight because we were attending a wedding there used to be an ice machine was just a bunch of garbage dumped on the ground although they did clean it by morning this property is badly maintained and would be an awesome property if it was just updated and they had proper maintenance great location. They didn’t have any bedbugs in my room. My room was clean. I had the presidential suite I checked the mattresses because of reviews no problems. My room is very clean and it was comfortable and spacious. I would return there because of the price the Customer Service that I did receive from Jazmine specifically and the maintenance man that said he was from Belleville if I had the same room and it was just as clean and I was doing one night.

Bedding had spots where it looked like they weren’t changed, furniture surfaces weren’t clean. The door had sticky substance and debris behind lounge chair along with jewelry from previous renters. When I complained, I was switched to another room that was just as dirty than the previous room. I immediately checked out but was told I had to contact Expedia for a refund. When I contacted Expedia, I wasn’t able to get a refund.

Honestly very disappointed. This hotel need to be closed and reopened when it is fully restored and ready. Building is crumbling and looks like it’s been deteriorated over time with little to know repairs. Ended just taking a loss and going to another place.

Disappointing

We hope for their sake we had the worse room: no garbage, no microwave, fridge that didn’t work and had no dial (management said they’d send someone to fix it but no one ever came), poorly patched giant hole in the wall, pool hours were wacky so unable to use, third set of keys finally worked, but bed clean enough to sleep in and the Mexican restaurant attached was awesome.

I would have preferred a hot breakfast. No extra pillows

This was a very run down place tye whole place needs to he shut down and renovated to public standards. There was nothing that wasn't damaged ir missing from the rooms. Never again will I ever stay there

Nothing the hotel smelled terrible. The furniture was broken, no lights in some of the hallways. Trash on the floors and in the elevator. Television did not work in my room . Sheets was dirty and nasty ! There was mold in the shower. We slept in our clothes and went to a family member house to take a shower. The staff was rude and said they were short staffed and nothing they could do. For us to contact corporate! Everything

Only good aspect was central location for my travels in Cleveland area. Had to sign a bunch of papers upon check-in promising to not misuse breakfast, pool, quite hours, etc. and issued required wrist band. Room had 2 light bulbs out and the hanging rack in closet was loose from wall. Cabinet in bath not painted. No tub drain cover. Entrance door was always open (poor security). When I reported these maintenance requests, I was told they might get to them sometime next week. The temperature control in room was not at thermostat, rather on individual unit by window, and thus only could set at cooling or heating (not temp with auto as needed). No extra roll of toilet paper. The hotel staff was minimal -- often no one at front desk. Minimal breakfast -- coffee, tea, milk, and OJ (OJ was cheap / bitter -- only had one glass). Snack bars, yogurt ok. Nice small muffins, bagels, and bread slices to toast with cream cheese and jelly. Some days had cereal, others did not. Some days had bananas and oranges, others did not. Hot water available for oatmeal packets. Microwave available. Plastic plates, bowls, and utensils. Indoor pool always had closed sign - was told you have to ask front desk for entry (only afternoon hours). Tried to check out early - told since through 3rd party (Expedia) could not (paid in full upon check in). Staff were generally helpful (when available). The hotel was empty (6-12 total cars in lot). Will not stay here again and would not recommend.

Wasn’t that clean

Never in the 4 day stay was offered to have clean towels. Never came and turned over the bed, never cleared out garbage. Access key never worked for any of the outside doors for easy access for myself, a person with disability. Had to park in top parking lot and walk down to main lobby doors to access my room. Ice machines didn’t work. Appliances never plugged in used the fridge and found out in the morning it wasn’t plugged in. Fridge was moldy as in pics I provided

Superb

The one cleaning girl was very friendly. The room had ants all over my side table and in bathroom. Had to go down and ask for bug spray. The room was badly repaired in spots. The outside door was broken anyone could of come in at door b. Really disappointed.

The property needs maintenance followed by renovation. Good location, but don’t understand why it is in poor shape.
