Holiday Inn Cleveland-S Independence by IHG

Decent hotel. Rooms were fairly clean the layout of the room was odd we couldnt unfold the sofa bed without moving nightstands out of the way that had wires running into them. It was poorly set up. We got into our room around 1130-midnight and had to go search for someone to get sheets and blankets from because the sofa bed wasn't made and there weren't any linens in the room. Then couldn't get pillows for it because the worker said they didnt have any extra. Overall it was but felt over priced. Not having any sort of free breakfast or continental breakfast was weird but we were told we could purchase breakfast from their restaurant. So its a safe place but for the price there are better places to stay.

I enjoyed my short stay. The room had a brick wall for a view but other than that, I have no complaints.

I want my money back for this stay!

Staff was very helpful and friendly

Room was super clean. Bed was comfortable. Only issue was the shower is a zero entry and water was on the bathroom floor after a shower and the floor was possibly slippery but other than that it was a great experience.

Just one night stay. Staff at front desk was great. Carpet in hallway to my rooms needs to be stretched or replaced. It has a fold in the middle and is a potential trip hazard.

Hotel was clean and very nice. The buffet was limited and over priced. One of the receptionist was very rude to my husband. Our coffee machine was broken and someone was supposed to fix it but never did.

A fridge freezer combo would be nice to freeze ice packs for work next day

Overall the hotel was fine. it was nice and clean but definitely wasn’t worth the cost of the room, especially with no breakfast . The lobby and bar are updated but the rooms are the same as they were 20 years ago. For some reason they charge $150 for the security deposit which is extremely high for the area and takes forever to get back.

It's time for this hotel to be updated. Very dated and worn. Carpet in the main hallway on our floor looked dirty and had a tented ridge right down the middle that was hard to walk and roll suitcases over and it's a tripping hazard. One of the beds definitely was slanted from wear. Corners and edges in bathroom in disrepair and with an extremely noisy squeaky door. Plugs wouldn't stay in wall outlets. Could hear everything through connecting door to adjacent room. The pool, while a little on the cold side, was large and clean. The location was conveniently between the city and the national park and many dining options nearby. Parking was ample.

The hotel is pretty quiet. I also used their fitness center which is nice. But when we arrived at our room, there was a piece of toilet paper on the floor of the bathroom. The ventilation in the bathroom doesn't work. There are not enough cups for brushing teeth and drinking coffee.

Clean property staff was friendly, easy check-in.

Staff was great, attentive, and always ready to meet any need they thought we had.

Hotel was very nice would definitely stay here again!

Room was clean & nicely put together

The property was very gross and smelly. As soon as I walked into the room it smelled liked mildew and mold. The staff was also very rude. I was not greeted when I walked up to the desk the staff held her hand out and assumed I knew what she wanted. The bathroom was dirty as well. Overall it was very overpriced especially because there was no complimentary breakfast or other accommodations and it was very disgusting.
