Wyndham Independence

Property was run down and not maintained adequately. Rooms need updating and remodeled. Very nice facility, but lacking maintenence. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would like to see breakfast bar included with room like most hotels. Outside grounds needs maintained also.

Elevator and bathroom need maintenance look like mold in ceiling in bathroom shower door for bathroom stuck . Had to switch rooms because first smell like smoke and neither of the doors to adjacent would lock.

Room had a bug on one of the beds. The toilet had a faulty fill valve. The staff was great though. The indoor pool was warm but the jacuzzi was out of service.

Had to change room because the adjacent room door would not lock. Bathroom door did not close and ceiling in bathroom had black spot in it.

Clean updated hotel.

Looks like they are renovating. Definitely showing its age. Not awful, not great. Pools out of service.

This hotel doesn't note they don't accept local residents to stay so when we checked in, they redirected us yo expedia to get our refund but they won't respond to expedia's call so you basically get robbed for your money

Second class stay, nothing extravagant. Extremely dated. But you get your moneys worth if you just need somewhere to lay your head.

A clogged shower drain. The cracked sink the unattached body mirror and a decrepit a/c unit that sounded like a 1950's coffee perculator. The fashions of most clientele reminded me of a rap video with the very high chance of a drive by shooting. This hotel is not for my fellow Americans

The lights went off and nobody didn’t know when they would come back on so I had to leave because I had small kids with me

Johnnah was helpful an wonderful the hallway an elevator could use some sweeping an vacuuming the room was clean the bed frame was broken felt safe the breakfast was a no to basic just grits eggs walffles no bacon parking was great everyone seemed ro enjoy pool close to highway would stay here again

Do not stay here place smells like mildew , trash everywhere loud music at night ! People slamming the door just a mess

My room was given away even though I had a reservation confirmed through Expedia. Eric fail by both Wyndham and Expedia. Please do better.

the staff has always been very apologetic but nothing gets resolved.

I called to head to the property to ensure that the pool and hot tub operational and was told yes. When I got to the hotel I found that they are apparently renovating although I could not see any signs that told me that. The curtains were ripped as soon as I walked in the room there were stains on the carpet marks and scuffs and damage to the walls and all the furniture. I called the front desk immediately to let them know about the rip in the curtain because I didn't want to be charged for it and basically they said they couldn't replace it because they were renovating and they were not making any updates until the rooms were renovated. We went down the next morning to discover the pool and hot tub were not operational half of the pool worked but the hot tub was completely shut down. I went to the front desk to complain and they said that the number I called for the property to check the status of the hot tub was not actually their number although they did confirm it is the number on the website. They would not help me they would not discount anything and they basically said it was just the way it was going to be because the hotel was under renovation. Exceptionally dissatisfied with this day and I will not be back.

Staff was great, but the place was a dump. Dirty and smelly and overall, just ran down. My room had mold growing on all the legs of the wooden furniture, as if the room had flooded at some point. The exterior door to the parking lot didn't lock, so any random person could wonder in the building and the dead bolt on my door didn't either. I will not stay here again.

Original room given to us had not been cleaned. Second room had a nightstand light that didn't work (bulbs and plugs in base). There was a dirty towel and bag of t ash on the floor by the ice machine. Hotel seemed under staffed and poorly maintained.

Location & cleanliness

Loved the welcoming, friendly staff; the clean, comfortable room; the quiet, refreshed hallway/floor! Everything was great!
