Crowne Plaza Indianapolis-Airport by IHG

Here for GenCon. Rooms smelled like raw sewage! It was terrible. Got moved around to different rooms. By the time we got to the 4th room, that one too smelled like sewage INCREDIBLY bad that I wanted to vomit. After complaining to the front desk and Expedia, I had my reservation cancelled and refunded. As someone who’s booked here the last 4 years, I will NEVER book at the hotel again.

Here for GenCon and room smelled like sewage so bad!!! They put me in a new room, the AC wouldn’t work. Then I had a reservation for a Queen Suite room and that one ALSO smelled like sewage INCREDIBLY bad to the point of gagging. The front desk staff was nice about the situation but still wanted to charge me for the room. Both rooms that smelled like sewage SOOOO BAD were on the same floor and hallway. After 4 years of booking here, we will never stay there again!

Hotel was very nice, everything was great until me and my husband woke up to a roach on the night stand. Undeniably it was a roach. That ruined our morning and we left quickly. Other than that, everything else was pretty great.

The room was very large, clean and quiet. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The shuttle service was available 24/7.

A lot to like but due to the construction of the hotel itself it’s impossible for the HVAC to keep it cool. Location is good, restaurant is good for breakfast and dinner. Huge areas for common spaces but little seating for people to actually congregate.

Nice and convenient to the airport

The ac in the room was very loud . It severely affected sleeping quality. The breakfast was so bad: pancakes were cold; hot coffee was just lukewarm; no jam or butter for bread. It’s not worth it to purchase breakfast.

Considering that this was an IHG property as well as the cost of the room I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I reserved one type of room but was given another that did not meet our sleeping needs. The bathtub and shower were dirty and definitely needed work, the toilet seat was broken. They have a nice lobby , but that is about all. Staff was polite, but not very responsive. Allin all I would NOT recommend. I did try to address this with IHG with minimal response and no resolution..I am still waiting to hear back from them on where to send the pictures I took to prove my claim...will likely NOT hear back as they don't seem to care.

The only complaint I have was the AC in our room wasn’t working as it should. Couldn’t get the room down to a cool sleeping temperature. Other than that everything else was just fine. Staff was very friendly and courteous.

I don’t know it was a good experience

One of the nicer hotels we have stayed at in Indianapolis. W e will definitely stay there again.

The lobby is lovely, property was clean and well-maintained, staff was friendly and helpful. I had a nice meal in the lounge and took the shuttle to the airport.

They gave my room away and told me I had to settle for a single bed and pullout. When I asked for linens for the pullout they said they can only provide a cover sheet and blanket and single pillow - no comforter. It was very uncomfortable. No discount or reduced rate offered for them overbooking the hotel. Not at all pleased with the stay.
