Sonesta Select Indianapolis Carmel

My family and I stayed here for 5 days and will not be returning. While the hotel itself was decent and Amber at the front desk was so helpful and kind, my families safety comes first. We got stuck in the elevator, not once, but twice in the same day and had to call the fire dept to come get us out. Should’ve never got back in the elevator after the first time but I trusted when I was told it was fine. The elevator was sweltering and my daughter had a panic attack. The owner quit replying to my emails and when I confronted him in person, he was very nonchalant as if it happens often. The rest of our stay we chose to use the stairs up and down to the 4th floor instead of chancing the other elevator since the fire dept shut down the other one. Management should’ve made that decision the first time. I would’ve checked out, but we were in town for a softball tournament and so many hotels were sold out or couldn’t accommodate 5 guests. Definitely don’t recommend this establishment!

Website stats there is a whirlpool onsite, there is not. Supposed to serve pasties and such for Breakfast 6:00-9:00 am, 845am no pastries not staff to serve. Complimentary coffee all day was cold.

Room is large and comfortable and very quiet.

Nothing When I got to the Hotel they said my reservation was cancelled. This was not on booking .com and the web site said I was still booked there. So we had to get a last minute room for 2x the price. Not Happy.

The room was pretty clean and generally comfortable. The location is rather industrial and felt out of the way for the sports park. We had pretty noisy neighbors and could hear all of their conversations/movement. The air felt rather damp inside the room and we didn’t care for the cleaner-type smell. For the price we had to pay ($288) over a sports tournament weekend, it was exorbitant for the quality of the hotel.

Pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, was clean and well set up

Kids staying during the weekend were noisy and spent time knocking on doors disrupting sleep through the night. The hotel phone number listed in the room was disconnected and the room phone did not work.

Hotel, location, and rooms were good. Letting adults yell and blare music in the courtyard well past midnight. Quite time is posted stating it starts at 10pm and staff did nothing to quite down these adults.

Clean room, very comfortable bed, staff was very helpful. Nice courtyard with indoor pool. Ice machine didn’t work on 4th floor, in room phone was not plugged in when we attempted to call from desk so that was worthless, and the mini fridge needed defrosting. Those few small tweaks could have gotten excellent reviews from us.

Breakfast is nasty and not worth the money or time

Just can say good location for our trip purposes. Old property. The AC in the room was not working. They had a complimentary coffee but it was cold every time I got it.

Room was clean and not run- down. The front desk was exceptionally friendly.

Not much for the money No place to eat dinner near by. Hard to find even with GPS. Would not recommend will not stay again. Over priced. Staff couldn’t tell me some place close to get some thing to eat. Eventually found something with GPS. Hate the construction and round abouts in the area too much every where you go.
