Extended Stay America Suites Orange County Irvine Spectrum

Called to inform we would be arriving late… around 12am. The desk clerk was short and annoyed by the call. We were warned not arrive after 1am because the room would be cancelled. After arrival, the first room that was assigned to us was completely demolished. We did not enter because we saw through the window that all cabinets were pulled off the walls and laying on the unmade beds. The second room was habitable. The second room was missing cups for water, remote for the TV, cookware, and flatware that one would expect at an Extended Stay. Also, the fire alarm was pulled off the wall and missing. Recognized that in the morning. The bedding and bath towels were clean. However, the bedding did have a perfume scent that was not a fabric softener scent. The bath floor towel had stains. It is also obvious that some “guests” are permanent residents. The property felt like a run down apartment that was renting out some rooms for the night. The property claims they serve breakfast. It’s only a grab and go muffin with coffee. Not really a breakfast and more like a snack. Will not be returning.

This place accepted dogs which I like very much. The problem was there was several dog poop that was never picked up. My room didn’t look like it was cleaned under the bed for a very long time. It was very dusty. The cabinets looked very old. I have never stayed at Extended Stay before and probably will never again.

Booked a room that sleeps 4 people: 1 King size bed & a sleeper sofa. Immediately after checking in we walk into the room. The room smelled like someone had just smoked a cigarette in there, A/C didn’t work, the restroom trash can was not emptied from the previous guests, the sleeper sofa had a whole on the back cushion and it had no mattress in it so we couldn’t sleep on it. Checked out immediately and went to another hotel.

We arrived at 4:00 AM in the morning, and the front desk could not find our reservation. When they finally gave us a room, it was awful and incredibly dirty. It was completely uncleaned, and it looked like someone had just slept in the bed right before us without anyone coming in to clean it. Because the room was in such a terrible state, we couldn’t even stay in it and ended up sleeping the entire night in our car. In the morning, the manager was decent enough to return our money, but it was a miserable experience. I cannot recommend this place. We arrived at 4:00 AM, and the front desk could not locate our reservation. When they finally assigned us a room, it was completely filthy and clearly had not been cleaned. It looked like someone had just slept in the bed right before us, the sheets were dirty, and the floor was entirely wet from a large amount of water leaking out of a broken sink. To make matters worse, the sink itself was dirty and still contained the previous guest's mouthwash. No Toilet paper, dirty towels. Basically, everything about the room was awful. Because of these disgusting conditions, we couldn’t stay there and spent the whole night sleeping in our car. Fortunately, the manager was decent enough to refund our money in the morning, but the experience was completely miserable.

Honestly nothing. I did choose a lower price hotel though I could afford more but knew we would just be there to sleep but after much travel around the US and world this is the worst dirtiest unkempt hotel I have ever stayed in. I have pictures to show to Extended Suites directly See above. Dirty room not cleaned well hair like trimming beard or pet in bathtub filthy stove crumbs and stuff on carpet couldn't go barefoot. No one at desk in am and someone (we saw it) took ALL the food items in her bag and took it. Creamer for coffee dangerous - I use that kind at home it was discolored thickened as if very old not creamy danger to try, no plugs for sinks or tub, one washcloth for two people... NOT what I would expect from this brand

The one thing this place has going for it is location. It was filthy, and poorly maintained.

It was close to the freeway. Pulling into the parking lot there was a bunch of tweaker looking people walking around the lot. The room was filthy. The staff was awful. There was stains on pillowcases and bed sheets. There was hair all over nightstand and floor like someone had gotten a haircut. Would highly recommend to skip this spot and go anywhere else. One member of the staff was beyond rude.

There were a lot of hair on the bed, some red marks, sheets didn’t look washed, everything was old and beat up, no bathtub, rusty features full of hair - and they said they would not refund me even if I checked out two nights ahead of time.

Within an hour of checking in, we noticed a large number of bugs in the room. My girlfriend developed a significant rash after being bitten multiple times. I immediately reported the issue to the assistant manager, but I was told the general manager was unavailable after hours and no meaningful solution, alternative room, or refund was offered. Instead, my reservation was canceled without resolving the issue. The lack of urgency and customer service was extremely disappointing.

. The sheets fishy fit the bed and were stained. We slept in our clothes. Had no choice but to stay the night. Would NEVER recommend or stay in one of these hotels again

The room was a mess. It was obvious that it hadn’t been vacuumed as there were piles of lint everywhere. There were long black hairs across one pillow and in the bed. The curtains were sagging and full of holes that appeared to be cigarette burns. There were scores of stains everywhere. All of the towels had stains, although they appeared freshly laundered. There was no coffee in the room which seemed odd as there was a full kitchen. The final straw was a large roach on the kitchen floor. It probably flew in through one of the windows that was 1/4 open which we didn’t realize until we were leaving. It smelled of stale smoke and lack of care and maintenance. We didn’t move rooms as we were exhausted from our 10 hour drive and didn’t want the hassle of moving to a possibly equally filthy room. When we checked out, there was no one at the front desk to lodge an in person complaint. My biggest complaint was not the condition of the room but the audacity of charging $200/night for that disgusting mess. Not only will we never ever stay at that property again, but we will never stay at an Extended Stay America Suites anywhere on the planet ever again.

Amenities provided in room is also limited. First night of check in, room floor is sticky and dirty. Had to clean it. No shower curtains. Room smells bad coming from sink. Trash cans outside are over. Manager Brandy is very rude. She does not care and very bad customer service. They allowed people to camped in their van in the parking lot. No dog bags available. Never will I come back to this location.

Was out of town working and knew I was going to work late on my check in day, called them at 8pm to let them know I’d arrive between 10-1030pm. The staff said I was good until midnight. I arrive at 11 pm, and that’s when staff told me there were plumbing issues, there were no rooms available, that I’d get a refund, and needed to go to another hotel. Apparently the issue was just discovered, but I never got any notification. I had spoken with them earlier, maybe if staff asked to check my room I could have gotten another hotel sooner. Instead I ended up as woman trying to find a hotel in the middle of the night. Had to spend double the money on hotels, and have to wait a week for my refund now. Just not the best experience, unfortunately.

Location, clean, smoke free rooms, excellent staff. Can't wait to stay again.

This place is horrible. Would never stay in this place. The staff is useless, place is dirty (not hyperbole). Find another location as this place is not worth the $$ you will save.

Terrible place, feels like homeless shelter, stinks , bedding sheets had hair and when requested to change the sheets stuff said you must do it yourself . I give zero

Just the location Not clean at all, the satff wasn’t even at the office when i wanted to check in, I waited over 30 min. I saw someone outside the hotel and asked for help. The room is disgustingly nasty, the toilet, towels, bed. Dust everywhere. The whole room smelted bad, to the point that it made me threw up. I don’t think this is even legal to be this nasty.

00000room old. No amenities. TV old and small Not enough channels available WIFI a joke Linen and pillows a joke old and disqualified for appopriate sleeping conditions. Kitchen was just horrible. I would never make another reservation there nor refer this place. Cits butts all over the place. Shall I go on. Nothing Would leave however they would not return money

It was close to spectrum When we got our first room, they didn’t make sure it was clean, they gave us a room that was check out already so nothing was clean. Trash was everywhere and it seemed used. Our second seem like it was clean but there was still stains on the surfaces. And no ice machine, no utilizes to be exact.
