Atrium Hotel and Suites DFW Airport South

It was close enough to the airport It’s a budget hotel without transparency. Very basic rooms, without barely any extras. No half and half in the fridge, the powdered creamers (2) old and crumbling. The shower was barely functioning and the TV sound was set so low I couldn’t even hear it. So sad, because they really have a making of a decent place.

This looked like a great place to stay. I was unfortunately mistaken. It was less than par. Rude people at check-in don’t try calling to ask a question prior to check in they will just hang up on you. When you do reach them, they will say they were busy. That’s some good customer service. The “Free shuttle” was so busy they had to pull out the big shuttle that took them 20 mins. So I had to pay for a Lyft for $52. The reason I stayed here was the free shuttle. Was there 15 mins prior to departure, they still were going to make me late. I recommend staying somewhere else.

It is an older hotel, but there have been obvious updates made, and looks as though more are coming as far as carpets and paint etc. It smelled really nice, never saw anything other than cleanliness. There were spots here and there where paint could be touched up or something minor like that, but overall there was nothing to make is feel as though it was run down or too old. The staff we encountered was always courteous and helpful. Breakfast was really good, and the coffee was strong and tasty. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. One sink struggled with draining but it was just a bit slow. The pool area was lovely but the kids found it way too cold to swim in so that was disappointing. We all agreed we would stay here again.

This place is amazing!

Every time we fly out of DFW we stay at the Atrium. It’s kind of become a tradition. They have a great little pool and restaurant. We always park there and their shuttle takes us to the airport and picks us up.

The staff (and specifically the lady at the counter) was extremely helpful and went above and beyond! Everything was great, LOVE the breakfast!

It was clean and had a free airport shuttle ( only used going back because I couldn’t get it coming to the hotel) There is a $100 accidental fee that you get back when checking out. I’ve never seen one that high and wasn’t prepared. If you paid in cash make sure to leave time for them to go check the room before getting the money back. I also have never had that done so I almost missed the shuttle which would have made me miss my flight. The pool is also very cold. So be prepared for that as well. The pizza place in the hotel also doesn’t do half of one kind of topping on one side either. Also trying to call the hotel to get the shuttle was hard. No answer the first time I called and I couldn’t understand them then when they did pick up. End up getting an uber to the hotel. Also far from the stadium and hard to get a ride back.

I enjoyed the king size bed and they were comfortable. It also included a breakfast buffet.

Make sure you get a rental car cause everything is about a 30 min walk away other than that have fun
