Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham DFW Airport North

The property was not so good. I called at 6:45 pm to secure a ride and was told to call when I land and they will give me instructions. When I arrived at 10:25pm I did as they requested in order to have a ride from DFW to the hotel. I was told 15-30 minutes. After calling the hotel numerous times, I finally boarded the van at 12:05am. The communication was horrible on the phone but was finally able to understand to be at the lower level, 7a. This was where I waited. Exactly in front of the doors at 7A. They DID NOT tell me to go to the purple pillars, only to 7A lower level. Being more accurate they should have said 8a, near the purple pillars. When I finally arrived the hotel was not in very good repair and did not look clean. I immediately checked for bed bugs. The trash can under the kitchen sink was filthy. There was hair in the shower and the handicap seat in the shower had something all over it. This was one f the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I will never go back.

The price. The attendant was rude, the room didn’t have the amenities it said on the website and also the hotel did not have an ice machine.

At first the staff was really rude over the phone requesting for a shuttle ride from the airport but at arrival the customer became better. Not top tier hotel but it is clean with good price. There’s a gas station with a burger spot down the road if you’re on foot. Most part it was quiet. I didn’t stay for breakfast but I give them points for having the shuttle

Overall the facility was updated with a minimalist look, and mini kitchenet. Rooms was clean with a new mattress, king mattress could haveused a coupl of extra pillows. AC kept the room cool but not as cold as I would have like. The breakfast was simple, no frills, toast, waffles, cereal, and yogurt, with coffee or juice.

I really liked that the hotel was just a few miles from the medical facility. I didn't like the lack of communication from the hotel. I booked a roll in shower with a king bed, they had to change me to a double standard shower. Had they informed me that my room would have to be changed, I would have canceled the reservation and gone elsewhere. So, thank you for making it impossible for me to shower prior to my procedure. The room was dirty. Shoes. How do people just leave their shoes? How did the housekeeping staff not see the shoes. How did the housekeeping staff not see anything left behind from the previous people(s). There were no kitchen items, plates, cups, or silverware. No coffee pot. The breakfast that was insulting. More trash on the counters than food. It was myself, my husband and 1 other guest. We went to eat at a different establishment. I stayed because we drove more than 5 hours. From a medically complex customer, do better.

I could not escape the intense smell of weed. When i mentioned it to the staff they stated that no one could smoke in their facility as they had smoke detectors and that the smell had to be coming from outside........ of course there was no smell outside the building.

There is no breakfast. It is grab-and-go only.

My sheets had spots so they were NOT changed prior to my visit. The toilet paper holder was broken.

The staff were respectful. The hotel wasn’t very clean. The sheets had a weird smell and I saw no signs of cleanliness throughout the building. For example, when I walked to my room there was trash left outside one of the rooms and the next day the trash was still there. I didn’t see any housekeepers either which led me to question if they clean the building often. Overall, it was quiet, the location was decent, and I only stayed for one night due to me being on a road trip.

Room was comfortable. Very sparse but clean and comfy. Has refrigerator and stove but no dishes and etc if you were staying a while.

Bugs in the room. Was under renovation. Smelled like mildew and weed. Trash everywhere

The place was clean. They had to improve their breakfast menu to attract more customers.

I had to call for the wifi code and there were no tissues in the room.

Horrible. No hair blow dryer and no breakfast.
