La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Jacksonville Butler Blvd

Location Well, when we arrived, about one hour early (2PM), no one was at the counter. About 10 minutes later, a staff member arrived at the counter. We asked if we could check in, and they said no, come back after 3. We left and decided to have lunch and came back. The room itself was just ok. Dogs barking in the hallway all the time. It's not the most relaxing stay. In the morning, breakfast was horrible. It would be better not to serve it at all. It would save the disappointment. Coffee was bitter, eggs and sausage cold.all in all very disappointing. The staff we saw were pleasant although useless. The husband loved the LaQuenta brand, but now I think we'll be sleeping elsewhere.

The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable and the room was spacious and clean. The location was very convenient and an overall good value. The people next door were absolutely horrible neighbors. They were playing and running around with a child screaming at the top of their lungs throughout most of the evening and night. This made us seriously question our decision to stay.

The area was decent The toilet was dirty, floor was sticky, the water was cold- couldn’t take a hot or warm shower. We came to stay because we had a funeral. We traveled all the way from North Carolina and it would’ve been nice to rest in comfortability.

The only thing that was a problem was the number of elevators for the amount of floors.

Front desk, pool area. Ave hotel that allow very vocal & vulgar guest to be in the hallways during all hours of the night - very difficult to get a good sleep. Breakfast was your typical waffles, cereal, and low quality items.

Teresa at the front desk was the only reason this did not get a 1 star review. She was so accommodating and kind. Location was good, but there are other options for hopefully cleaner hotels nearby. Pool was clean. Beds were comfortable. The hallways and stairwell were very dirty. Our room was musty and had mold in the window track. The housekeeping staff did not take our trash and towels daily. Teresa had to come remake a bed herself after we had to ask a 4th time for fresh sheets. We had to go to the front desk for our own garbage bags, fresh towels and toilet paper. Ordered Room service through their app. Was the biggest waste of money. Order was made wrong and smallest portion I've ever seen. Although since it was made wrong we could not eat it. Breakfast was very limited.

The room and the property itself was good. It was clean and maintained. The only downfall or complaint was for my wife who thought that the exterior door where everybody seemed to be smoking, was covered in nicotine stains on the door handle and on the glass, she let the front desk know, and they said they would handle it. Otherwise it’s an older facility, but I would go there again and stay food was close by and it was fairly easy to get around choosing an app. . Our stay was wonderful. The lady at the front desk when we got there on 06/24 in the afternoon was absolutely incredible. I don’t remember her name but she was amazing. She is the definition of customer service and beyond! I will definitely come back to this hotel. :)
