Super 8 by Wyndham Jamestown

This place is disgusting, No where near the 7.2 stars it has as a rating. Very old and outdated. Couldnt get out of there fast enough. Went to grab a coffee in the morning from the non existent "continental" breakfast and it smelled like urine around the coffee dispenser, almost puked. Ran out of there. STAY AWAY ITS A DUMP!

The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good - everything was available for the entire breakfast time frame for everyone. The laundry area was open and comfortable. The machines were in good condition. The staff were all held and friendly.

We had a later night check in, so we didn't have time to look around the property. It's definitely dated but also, a Super 8 in Jamestown and not some big resort. Breakfast was okay, the lack of juices and beverages for breakfast was inconvenient as there wasn't even water except for tea. The rooms were clean, the AC was cold, the TV was big and was able to be linked to. The free wifi is always a plus. It was a decent spot to lay my head to rest for the night.

The pregnant lady at the front desk deserves a raise she works so hard for that company and she’s pregnant. She os super nice every time I come in I dident like much. A lot of the bathtubs are chipping realy bad in the rooms that I have stayed in. The carpets are so run down they look like old highschool library rugs . There’s rust on the lights in the bathrooms , the ventalation fan works girly in the bathrooms, when I try to shower it gets so foggy I can nearly breathe, the floors creek with every step you take. I was charged $150 for a dog shit being on my hotell room floor and having a unregistered dog in my room and I don’t even own a dog or any commodities that would even make it look like I have a dog . I have also Ben blamed for smoking in the rooms when they watch me walk back and forth in front of the building every time I smoke a Ciggeret. A guy dosent just come out of his room 2-3 times after he gets off work to go outside to smoke a Ciggeret to end up just to smoke in the room. I honestly hope somone saves this place, I payed 395 for 3 night and 2 of the nights I had no hot water

The room was spacious and spotless, which I loved! There was little to no water pressure - terrible shower! Toilet and sink were super low. Kind of a strange setup. Beds and pillows were GREAT!! Continental breakfast? Not so much.

First time I have ever seen a pancake machine. Interesting.

The hallways due to carpets had a little bit of a funky smell. Otherwise does the job for the price point. Overall good experience

Key locks were terrible. We had to re-key every time we used it. Once it took 3 times to get it to function.

The room had a funny smell. Barely had hot water for shower. It was lukewarm. The fan and light in bathroom were on same switch and whenever light was on, the fan was very loud. Could not turn it off. No hair dryer, which is usually standard. There was a side door by my room which went outside. It remained unlocked so anyone could walk in. Only light was 2 small desk lamps. No entry light.

Great breakfast. Comfortable room. However get a 2 floor room if you can because you can hear evey step from the above room

Brand new tile in bathroom and nicely updated for an older facility. Breakfast was good. Smart TV Shower only had luke warm water. Smart TV was YouTube and network so not very “smart”. Still nice to be able to sign in to YouTube.

The room and property were clean and in good shape. Desk people were friendly and joked around with me making me feel comfortable. Bed was comfortable and bedding was in good shape and clean. Breakfast was good for the affordable price of the room. Air worked great and kept the room at a great temp.

Clean room, quiet, nice staff, good breakfast. We will return. 😀

Stayed in a room that had no water pressure or Hot water.

Recently updated facility, with friendly staff. Clean and reasonably quiet at a good price. Minutes from downtown and the UJ campus.
