Our stay at the Canopy Hilton was very comfortable. The staff was very professional, polite and helpful. We will be back to stay when we’re here again.

My family and I checked into the hotel a little later than we expected. It was around 2 am when we finally settled into the room. My family and I unpacked while my sibling when to brush her teeth. That’s when we discovered that the lever to drain the water in the sink was broken. Ok great not a big deal. We called down and asked to be switched to another room. I went down to change my keycard. The staff changed my card then I went back upstairs to the new room. Unfortunately this is when I started getting annoyed. The door wouldn’t let us in and I kept tapping only to see an orange light pop up. I had to go back down stairs (mind you at this point it’s past 3 am) and ask the staff to help me get into the room I paid for. She said maintenance had to reset the lock. Don’t know why it wasn’t reset before we were assigned the room but sure. I went back up and had to wait 10 minutes for the maintenance personnel to get to our door and reset the lock. I didn’t sleep until 4:30 am. The carpet in this new room was frayed and torn up. For $1000 for 2 nights this was a huge disappointment. I won’t be staying here again.

rooms have a modern decor and are decent in size. the beds were not overly luxurious, but comfortable enough. the bathrooms were modern, clean, with separate room for toilet and shower - very useful when travelling in a group. the AC in the room didn't work, and it wasn't repaired during our stay. we were offered a room on a different floor, but we were travelling in a group, and logistically we couldn't be on a different floor than the rest of the group. We also asked for a high floor and were told that the top floors were not for guests, which I found it to be a strange comment, and untrue.

Everything was good except the beds were not comfortable at all

Staff was helpful and the parking options nearby were close, fair priced, and safe. We will absolutely stay here again to save from NYC prices and crowds. A short walk to the train station, clean room and hotel. We enjoyed the bar at night and had good service there as well. Service to room was prompt and helpful. Highly recommend!

Great location. Great service. Very clean. We would stay here again. My pocket sliding bathroom door was broken on arrival but they came and fixed it immediately.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The Hilton system was not working, so it was impossible to complete the check-in properly. We were given a room without a key card. Without a key card, the elevators could not be used. Every time we needed to go up to our room, we had to stand in line at the reception and ask the staff to let us use the elevator. This was extremely inconvenient and frustrating. The Wi-Fi was also unavailable because we could not complete the registration/check-in process. The room itself was in very poor condition. There were no slippers, the plumbing fixtures were broken, and the carpets were unbelievably dirty. After just five minutes of walking around in the room, my white socks had turned completely black. There was also none of the basic amenities and service you would normally expect from a Hilton hotel. The overall condition and level of service felt more like a 2–3 star hotel, not a Hilton. We had such a terrible experience that we decided to leave the hotel early and move to another one. Absolutely unacceptable for a Hilton property. A very disappointing and frustrating experience.

Fire alarm got pulled 7/25 night, the staff didn't know how to turn ot off

I travel for work. This is the best production hotel in America. It's perfect for any production team, the rooms are nice, the lobby is perfectly laid out, the bar and outside areas are perfect to work on laptops with plugs everywhere. The rooms have thought of everything with the exception of one thing - no plug near the bed so I can sit on the bed and work on my laptop or charge my phone while in bed. Also, however, the fire alarm went off two nights in a row after 10p and the hotel had to be evacuated both times. It was due to the restaurant below (not affiliated) but that just means there's a ventilation problem that hasn't been fixed. The fire dept came with several trucks and moved slowly, indicating this happens all the time. I was told it does happen all the time and nothing has been done about it. The staff offer ZERO assistance or reassurance as it was happening. And worse, zero thank you was given for the inconvenience and fear. No discount, nothing. Then weather happened and my flights were being canceled left and right. I went t the front desk at 11p to ask for an additional night, and was told to come back in the morning because there are "sooo many king rooms left, you'll be fine." Next morning, a different person told me there was one room left. She told her manager, and the manager spewed some hotel jargon and said I can't have it because of some negative room balance evening out something or another, which is a bs answer. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.

Deluxe king was very spacious, attractive furnishings, and well thought-out to meet traveller needs. Our room was very quiet, the bed and linens were great, with large, fluffy towels. Great location - close to the Path train into Manhattan, numerous restaurants, shops, and Jersey City parks. 15-20 min walk to the ferry — a scenic way to get to midtown or FiDi. Will definitely be back!

Boutique state of the art hotel.

The location is excellent. It is very easy to take PATH to New York.

Convenient location, close to public transport, and food options. Mostly clean and facilities were great. Staff were pleasant and friendly, except that 1 receptionist lady working on 11 July morning. Soundproofing was bad. Can hear the housekeeper every morning knocking on the guests’ rooms and the cleaning ongoing next door. Was granted a late check out till 1pm by the reception but no coordination on their end to ensure guest’s comfort. Two people (seemed like the housekeeping) came by to knock on my door within minutes of each other to ask the same thing.

Great location within Jersey City with nearby parking ($28 per day). Close to many restaurants, and next door to PATH train station into NYC. Facility is beautifully decorated. It is pricey depending on time of travel.
