Red Roof Inn Chicago - Joliet

Close to express way, plenty of parking area is safe during day time, overall it was okay for one night stay

Called ahead to make sure we could do a late check-in. When we arrived they tried to deny the check-in, then put us in an uninhabitable room. The room was filthy, there was a hold in the sink; the door showed signs of a previous break-in and wouldn't lock properly; and the carpet was soaking wet from a leaking air conditioner. No other motel was available, and we had been up for hours, so we had no other choice but to stay for a few hours to get rested enough to drive. I'm reporting them to the health authorities.

It was fine. Nothing special. But a good bed and clean. No extras, at all. It was fine for one night. For the price.

Nothing really. The floors were sticky and the rooms all smell like weed even though there is a no smoking policy. The beds were not comfortable and there was yelling every night. I did not sleep. Rooms were not clean. There were a ton of druggies on the property and the 7 cop cars were on the property at one point. I did not feel safe at all.

Only the location, price and the quick check in/out were the best parts. Our room was very dirty, mold on the ceiling in the washroom, the mini fridge had built up ice and couldn't close properly, so much dusting needed to be done, the "cuck" chair look like it was attacked by a cat, a lot of the furniture was damaged and the beds were absolutely terrible, very uncomfortable. The Red Roof in Chicago was a lot better, this was a huge letdown and I wouldn't pay to stay there again despite the great price.

It was okay not good staff at front desk no ice bucket in room requested one never got it

Clean and pet friendly. We were able to check in early.

It was ok...a lot of transients...flies in the room...bed and pillows were comfortable

This doesn't mean the hotel is bad, but he wouldn't even stay there.

A “smoke free” room smelled very strongly of cigarettes and it was overall not very clean

The cable to the tv was broken off so we couldn’t use the tv. There were no other rooms so we were stuck in a room with no tv. And there was no offer to even try to fix it.

The bed bugs

Probably wouldn't stay there again. Room had a weird smell to it. Not sure what it was but my suitcase smelled just like it when I got home. Didn't have a good feeling when we first drove up.
