Cool experience staying in a castle. But the castle itself has not been maintained well in the last few years you can tell. Not enough staffing, ordered champagne and flowers for the room never were there and was charged for it had to ask for money back. No Bartender Bartender called in sick. The rooms are not being maintained the best along with exterior of the property. Pretty janky swimming pool in hot tub setup.

Everything was great, we didn’t get our spa package because they overbooked and could not do the 2:00 pm appt. That kinda bummed us out. But we are planning on doing a yearly trip!!

Beautiful castle and gardens. I liked the porch seating best. The front door key didn’t work when we returned at 11 pm. Also a strange organ music sound throughout the night.

The Castle was amazing! The staff were really great and friendly. The room was comfortable including the bed! The weather-- nothing the castle staff could do about that.

Food was fantastic, so was the service!

Outdoor garden is very nice though, pleasant porch sitting. We stayed in the closet room in the castle where we were met with stained towels and dirty coffee mugs. For some reason, there are electric cords sitting at the foot of the bathtub. Constant music playing throughout the night through the thin walls from a stereo. Broken doorknob. Very disappointing with this stay from the last time we had been here.

Beautiful building and grounds. Kind, helpful, caring staff. One worker carried my suitcase upstairs for me, as you don't have an elevator. They brought a hair dryer and additional towels up when I asked--although I had tried online to assure there was a hairdryer in advance. Delicious breakfast! Comfortable bed. Gorgeous antiques. I'll ask my friend if she has anything to add. The SHOWER!!! It was like a shower in a travel trailer, but didn’t drain nearly as well. Although I managed to put my shoes and dirty clothes far enough away from the curtain, the floor flooded right up to the toilet (over the bath mat) about 1/8" or more deep. It was difficult to dry my feet and then put my socks & shoes on!!! I'll ask my friend if she took any photos... The online description did not include one of this tiny bathroom--that should have been a red flag. The groom for the wedding being held there caused issues. When my friend and I returned after our reunion, he has passed out in his underwear on the settee on the landing. Evidently, he had peed himself. In the middle of the night, my roommate heard him pounding on the door upstairs (his bridal suite, I guess) and yelling at his new wife to let him in. Very sad, but also unfortunately disturbing for at least one Henderson guest. Parking wasn't real convenient. I managed to park by one of the cottages. In the morning, I noticed my front bumper was about 1/8" away from a planter! It was empty and didn't serve any purpose. Glad I didn't hit it!!!

It’s a beautiful building and grounds, very historic Upon closer inspection you can see how dirty the fabrics were on chairs, throw pillows, and comforters. The room we were booked in was the tower which is very small; only enough room for a bed and a tacky round bed in the “loft”, which was stuffy and only accessible by a narrow, spiral staircase. The bathtub is visibly aged with peeling grout and dirt and dust on the outside. Smelled of rose water and mildew in the room. Gross. We didn’t stay. They gave us a partial refund.
