Clarion Pointe Kent - Seattle South

It’s got a weird glass partition on the tub at the faucet end by the toilet. It doesn’t move. You can’t turn on the water and warm it up with getting in the tub first. Unless you’re really tall and/or agile. You can’t wash your child’s hair because you have no control over the rinsing all the soap out and not getting it in their eyes. I couldn’t lift my legs high enough to get in. With no access of anything to hold onto to steady myself to grab a leg and lift it into the shallow tub. I heard a big woman complain about the shower. Said she couldn’t get her size into it. Said she wanted her money back because the shower setup made it unusable for her. I’m sure that’s true for many people who don’t really need an assessable room. Just better access. I thought about getting my money back and going to the Baymont Hotel nearby. But I wasn’t there too long. Just 4 days. I thought I can survive until the next place. Which happened to be home.

Clean room, friendly staff, great breakfast, convenient parking. The only thing is that in the summer, the AC will not go below 64°. I know that seems cold to some people, but it felt way too hot for our family.

Nice and clean hotel. Looked new, only issue is it seems like the walls were thin. Could hear the people in the next room talking. Other than that a very clean place to stay.

When we arrived there was no one at the desk, a sign they were on the property and would be back. A line started to form of travelers that just want to check in and relax. The hotel is bare bones and every expense was spared. You have to request for housekeeping to come. We requested housekeeping to replace our towels, and it was not done. The beds are comfy but the bedding is not. There is no tv in the bed area which is so strange for a hotel. The pull-out couch is uncomfortable and there was not enough bedding. The property is not well built so 2 mornings we were woke up at 4am because the people above were up and we could hear everything! It’s so poorly built that we could hear the paper towel dispenser being used in the bathroom next door. Don’t let the well staged pictures fool you.

Manager was terrible. Staff lack know and there are random bugs. No hot breakfast and overall extremely unprofessional. Newly renovated, but falls very short.

I realize this was a new remodel property and was only open for a short while, so maybe the experience was elevated for that reason. If that is the case I hope they continue in this direction. The staff was very helpful when I need to to have documents printed for my Zoom meeting. The newly hired employee I observed her training one morning and noted she was competently executing the skills the following day. I did approach the desk about location g a second ice machine as the one was not dispensing ice though I could hear it rattling. The staff told me it was the only one and they have observed guest filling coolers so the machine might need a moment to fill and suggested in wait 5 minutes. I returned and it was working fine. This is not a complaint about not having ice but that I was satisfied with the explanation. Maybe they could offer a second ice machine in the future. I know I will stay here again.
